FDG - I remember this one. I posted the upper channel tag as caution for longs. Nice to see the chart today reflecting what I'd anticipated. This chart showed possible points of retrace.

You can see the most recent channel action; red expanding channel long, then green. The lastest channel signal is the failed pink channel short, and now it's looking rangebound, in a volume area - probably consolidating. A fresh channel turn up may work nicely, but r/r must be worth it. I'm wanting to stay neutral on it until something more happens.

        Spike,
I forgot to tell you that you saved me some pain. I took your advice with FDG, did not buy into it, and it had what I call a blow off top. It hit $106 and started downward and hasn't recovered. Recently it can't seem to climb back to $100, and is in a slight downtrend.

At this dizzying height, this stock is sensitive to the overall market trend. It has followed the market in a downtrend. It does make nice $2-3 swings in a day, so it can be daytraded, but you do need a spare $90K lying around in order to do it . . . .

Thank You for the hard work. As always, it is excellent!

            • Spike I'd like your thoughts on MTXX. I trace a channel from 3/7 to today and see a lower channel touch entry, and just wondered if you saw the same thing.

Thanks also for bringing up SEB. Made a quick 4% today. Got out quick because I see what looks like a descending triangle intraday.

I have to get off my lazy duff and order stockcharts premium, so that I can post what I'm talking about

I never really used the Raff channels before I started hanging out here. But the more I read your posts regarding the channels for entry an exit points I became more interested in the system and began to study charts of alot of different stocks and was amazed at the number of times they hit the upper or lower line of the channels and reverse direction. Excellent indicator for keeping an eye on possible trade setups as they approach a good entry point either on the long or short side.
Also was drawing the lines manually on the charts I was uploading to here and read your post on using the Raff lines on the Stockcharts.com annotation screen. Much better an easier to use the Raff lines icon.

                    B.J.,

You don't HAVE to order stockcharts premium. You could do this:

                    1. Get "Handysnap" for free. It captures pictures, charts, letters, etc for free. Very easy to use.

                    2. Then go to "Imageshack" and let them "host" your charts for free.

Look, I'm cheap. FREE is the right price for me. That's the stuff I use. And stockcharts is also FREE.

By the way, did you get the FREE mag I tried to give you?
                    Just trying to help!

                    • I like my subscription of stockcharts. One could get creative with scanning. Also you can create many folders that have your charts in it, or even your top sector groups. I don’t have the real-time charting service with stockcharts, but I view it as money well spent.

I shouldn't totally blow my horn over it. I actually made a big mistake. Knowing full well that 930 would be a key resistance area, I was going to sell there with a limit. It got to 930 just about long enough for me to blink. Would have been 8% instead of 4%

You are a professional scalper. Me, I'm an amateur.

Hey, what about the markets tomorrow? Still bullish?

What does "props" mean? I'm a hillbilly. I don't know.

                              • Props means "to give due credit", or congratulate. I'll speak English next go-around
