  • HEY MR.MARKET DO YOU EVER AVG DOWN INTO STOCKS???

I track your portfolio on Yahoo Finance, and was wondering if you have doubled down on any of your holdings.

I Figure you must to help ease the Pain on some of your holdings. i.e. PRX

    Just wondering.. .

    Thanks James

Assuming that $$$MR_MARKET$$$'s picks eventually return 15%, then buying PRX now is a guaranteed 100% return, eventually.
Picking on PRX, though, is easy. Out of dozens of picks that have performed consistently well, one clunker.

Would it be wise for someone who regularly beats the market year in and year out, and has a great batting average, to change their methods in light of one mistake? I don't think so.

What if Ted Williams had a confidence crisis and changed something about his swing because he struck out once or twice?

I am by no means disrespecting the huge one. We all wish we could pick them like he has. $$$MR.MARKET is right up there as one of my market gurus along with Cramer, Liz King and REv SHark.

I know Ernie has plenty of dry powder so It would make sense to avg down on some of his positions that he is underwater on.

I would if I were him.

          Great Stock Pickers

          Tsevni98,

You would put Mr. Market in the same class as Jim Cramer?

I think if you'll examine Jim Cramer's record, you'll find that he picks more losers in one month than Mr.Market does in four years. Really.

                Cramer?

surely you don't mean to compare the huge one to JIM Cramer. I think $$MM's a pretty forgiving guy, but I think that'd be pretty tough to get over, even for him!

Cramer is a spastic scum-sucking slimeball (just my opinion) who wouldn't know a decent stock from a stinking turd if it bit him in the face.

If you read the IBD boards, you'd think that Mr Market is the worlds worst stock picker. The fools just don't realize who they're bashing!

It's amazing how jealous they are of the great one. Oh well, they can continue sticking their heads in the sand and I will keep learning from the Great one.
