        my guess

is PTSI for soundness, and SSNC for speed. I think PTSI has the hardest floor thanks to strong earnings. I bought it here at 30% off the $$MM entry. It hasn't done much since, but has only one way to go- up. 15% is practically guaranteed from here. SSNC will likely hit 15% much quicker though, just due to the volatility of the stock. However, it's just as likely to drop another 15% first. (then again, what the hell do I know?!)

        Spike,

Here's the returns from open $$MM stocks so far. They're all red except CHKE. (a sad state which will no doubt be righted soon)

        Stock, Return, Target
        PTSI -29.4% 28.9
        CHKE 12.4% 24.9
        WSB -6.3% 12.4
        PRX -48.8% 83.7
        CBK -41.0% 33.9
        BEL -42.0% 24.4
        GGI -20.0% 27.7
        SSNC -37.9% 34.1
        AACE -20.6% 36.2
        OFG -17.1% 36.9
        SPF -8.5% 60.4
        DECK -6.1% 31.4
        NUTR -11.3% 28.1

From the above list, channels currently show as great setups for the long side:
WSB with entry from around 9.50ish or channel entry from the recent 8.76 low.
SPF as long as it stays above 46.26
DECK as long as it stays above 22.27
NUTR as long as it stays above 21.25

My order of preference of these is:
NUTR (has a good risk/reward at the moment, with a stop at 21.24
          WSB
          DECK
          SPF

The rest look woeful at the moment, from a technical perspective.

          Good luck picking!

            NUTR....hmm

sounds good to me. NUTR will definitely be another winner for Mr Market. I may have to get in soon.

Would you lay money down for NUTR?

              Spike

Given that NUTR looks the best of this bunch of stocks, and that a few weeks ago it could have been shorted profitably, would you personally lay your money down on NUTR right now? Or would you say, "there are better and safer plays out there?"

Just interested in what you think.

Thank you. And may the best investing come your way,

Now's the time to do it my friend. Long at Friday's close 21.30 is good, with stop at 21.24. Target 34.50 is reasonable projection. Risking 6 pennies to make $13.26. That's 221:1 r/r who wouldn't like that ratio.

Reasoning: Channel long signalled on last Wednesday's candle. Long is valid until that day's low holds.

If I weren't already long on it, absolutely unequivocally yes I would buy right where it closed with stop at 21.24. That is a great r/r - the kind you'd spend a long time looking for. And if that low doesn't hold, then the long is not valid. Backatcha re the best investing coming my way

NUTR is currently trading at 20.25 (down 1.22) so i guess now is not the time. the next support seems to be 16.70

Ya, the gap down open was below my stop point, so the long is invalid now. Plus now it's just made a MAJOR channel break and I would suggest extreme caution for anyone long. Shorters will look to short the return to the upper channel from the high of 27.62. Next support I see is 17.00 and then 13.00 after that. There are better longs out there now.

NUTR closed at $20.24. uhh...not good.

Thank goodness I'm not in. Yep, I believe I'll sit out on this one while it goes down the tubes. Surely it will bottom out eventually.

I still think NUTR has the IBD 100 curse. I'm telling you guys, there is a curse on any stock in the IBD 100. Could it be possible that there are too many canslimers and the market movers are taking advantage of them? That's what I'm starting to believe. It's like a big herd of cattle about to go over a cliff. Not a pretty sight.

I subscribe to IDB and like the basic canslim philosophy, but I refuse to buy any stock that get noticed anywhere in IBD.

                          IBD

I buy IBD 100 stocks all the time, just buy them at the right time, and just remember that every dog has its day, long and short.
