I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. I just found some shares of WSB that were misplaced. Sold at 52% gain . Can anybody else top that? Forgot to mention it was only 2 shares profit was $9.62. The joke's on me!

p.s. I still hold .875 of a share

Well, I still hold half of my WSB, so yeah, I think that tops it- as long as WSB keeps doing what it's been doing. (not do dis your $9 profit or anything... a profit's a profit.)
Scifos, Somehow I mistakenly had an account that reinvested all dividends into stock. I'd made my goal on WSB and sold out shortly after dividend was paid. One account where dividends went to cash was ok, but I was worried about WSB's price dropping and I sold before the 2.875 shares were credited to my account. I called and was told they'd sell at no charge, but they didn't sell the fractional share. This will continue to compound and my great great great grandchild will become wealthy from this I'm sure.

This isn't really bragging, but I'd like to mention two trades made today with assistance from 3 esteemed investors : IIC , Park Twain , and Jim Cramer.
Today I sold 2 takeover stocks ATYT for a 10.75% gain and SGDE for a 15.75% gain. ATYT is being acquired by AMD for 20.46 in stock and cash . SGDE is being acquired by French company PPR for approx. 31.00 in cash.
See comments from IIC (Doug) reply #4972 IIC Winners Watchlist Thread and Park Twain reply #4974 same thread regarding merger arbitrage. Along with Cramer's response to a caller yesterday concerning a similar situation I decided there was limited upside and unlimited downside in holding these stocks until the buyouts were finalized. In the case of SGDE my proceeds were < 1% from the proposed settlement price of 31.00 . For ATYT about 3% less than the 20.46 buyout number. According to Cramer there are any number of things that can go wrong and since the stocks are close to the buyout figure , very little or nothing much better can happen.
Several years ago I held a stock CDO as it approached a date it said would be when it would spinoff a subsidiary. The day it was to happen, the spinoff was cancelled , earnings were restated , the stock tanked , lawsuits were initiated and it was a total disaster. My current thinking is if anything possible can go wrong it will ..... and then some, in ways you couldn't imagine.

Yesterday (evening) Rockin'Rob bought my supper and it didn't cost me anything!
Why is it that Mexican Restaurants always have identical menus even when the ownership is different?
For example: I always order #29 which is two (2) Enchiladas, (1) Taco, Rice and Beans.... I swear I could travel from Virginia to California and #29 would always be the same. I think all Mexican Restaurants are linked much like OPEC controls Oil production.... Has anyone else noticed that?

I once drank a 12 pack of beer and ate a dozen doughnuts... and did NOT puke
I also fit 26 red seedless grapes in my mouth all at once.
I won $400 on a single hand of Blackjack when I split aces and the dealer busted. That was the biggest bet I've ever made while gambling, but I was scared putting up $400 when it could be taken away with a swipe of a hand. I never even saw the 2 cards dealt to me. They were face down. I don't don't gamble very much, anymore.
The closest I've come to a hole-in-one in golf was 3 inches. My longest drive (in the fairway) was 340 yards. I'm golfing more, lately, after a 4 year hiatus.
I once finished the season leading the league in home runs while playing baseball as a kid
I can curl my toes under my feet and walk up and down stairs, with all my weight on the top of my toes. I can also do jumping jacks like this.
That's about all I can think of, for now.

Peanuts,
Excellent accomplishments! I once drank a six pack of beer, ate 6 bagels with cream cheese , and ate a pepperoni pizza at one sitting while in college. I've had indigestion ever since. Now known as acid reflux or GERD.
