I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA! Yes, NB, that's the guy. Makes ya wanna hurl just looking at him. Just like ELN's behavior.
thanks.
Here it is I thought you were in love with this guy. You know, I thought at the time that this guy has a face only a nurse could love. And now I find out that you just wanted him so you could puke on him. Is that how you treat your men?

LOL! Goodness AND mercy me, no! I'm a nurse through and through. Soft heart, strong stomach. Just hate to see ELN (and my portfolio) suffer is all.
(and I do believe "my men" remember me fondly.)

It is wicked, NB. I agree. I think it's a highly manipulated stock to say the least.
I still feel, though, that in time, if one can hang one and weather the turbulance, that Tysabri will have to return to a very eager and much in need market.
Just my feelings, however.

How do you go about selecting which poorman's pics to play?
(ELN is making me sick... . i was in it, out of it, shorting it, covered it, rebought it and now it's doing poorly)
I'll have to drink to your success with my wild berry maalox
I keep a watch on Poormans "Model Trading Strategy", which is updated every night. Sometimes, I'll go with his recommended price, but if I feel like I can get a better price on a stock, I'll go lower. For example, Poormans bought PDC at 15.50, but I got it at 14.25.
Basically, I use a lot of his picks, with my own analysis added in for good measure.
Webs, I hope you took some profits on your positions, its a jungle out there...
Still holding, but everything looks to be rebounding some today.
I've been out of town, so I haven't paid much attention to the market for a few days. I go on vacation and the market tanks. Coincidence? Who knows...
I'm off for one more day, so I'm keeping track of things today.
I bought a few shares of HISC.pk, for a gamble play. This is the same one I bought a while back for .11 and sold for .07, for a slight loss. Today I bought a larger position back at .07, so we'll see what happens. So far I'm up. I wasn't sure how legitimate HISC was before, but now it's starting to look more like the real thing.
1. ELN - Bought at $6.88. Closing price today was $7.89
2. PDC - Bought at $14.25. Closing price today was $16.46
3. AOB - Bought at $3.53. Closing price today was $5.33
4. GW - Bought at 7.81. Closing price today was $7.50
5. HISC - Bought at .07. Closing price today was .08
I suppose, I could have dumped ELN and PDC this past week, but my Vulcan logic tells me that they will rebound.
If, for some reason, the hedge funds continue to drive the market down, I will consider liquidating my long positions and join them in their shorting party.

Webs,
PDC was up to $20 or more. Did you give back 3.50+ points on that postion?
Good luck with it Webs. It would have been nice to have trailed a stop and taken the 5+ points then bought back at these lower prices. That would have been like almost a 7 point swing.

Sounds good in theory, but, with my luck, it would have stopped out and then climbed again before I could get back in, leaving me out of the trade. I tend to do better when I trade longer term.
