I have been using it for quite some time now and I've found it to be one of the easiest and best available and for free.
    I've never used it until now. I tend to be a bit lazy. I steal most of my picks from others...

      DMK,
      I use Stockcharts and MSN (both of their pre-defined and custom scans). Here's a real coincidence for you. I was just playing around with the scans on MSN Money and I plugged this in and ran it. One stock came out of the scan. Run this and you'll be quite surprised at the one stock that came out. Here's what I plugged in, in order of top box to bottom box for the field, operator,and value columns.

      Field name column / operator column / value column
      1. price >= 5
      2. rev growth qtr. vs qtr >= 25
      3. rev growth yr vs yr >= 45
      4. price/sales ratio >= 1
      5. average daily volume last month >= 500000
      6. average daily volume last qtr >= 500000
      7. 3-month relative strength >= 90
      8. 6-month relative strength >= 85
      9. debt to equity ratio <= 0.2
      10. current ratio >= 0.

      • Perhaps I am missing something, but when I click on any of the two links I get a "create your own stock search" page, but the values are not filled in.
        Is that what I ought to be seeing, or should there be some predefined fields already filled in?

          I had to download something first. If you have windows popup blocker, check at the top of the screen. you should be able to open it from there.

              Yes it was. I was just playing around with some variables in the scans an it popped up from this one. It was the only stock to come out of it.

                        Rich is a misused term. To me "rich" means that I'm happy, healthy and am leading a good quality of life.

                        Then there's financial success. Although financial success can't buy happiness it does pay the bills and affords one the opportunity to experience the finer things in life. Therefore, this is definetly a goal that I am working towards.
