Sold half my position in ELN this morning for $13.65, in order to protect my profits and to possibly buy back in at a lower price. Now I'm playing with the house's money.

I'm wondering if it may be time to start concentrating on short plays. If the hedge funds want to take the market down, I wouldn't mind joining them. It would be great to be short when the market tanks.

But, like everyone else, I prefer a bull market.

What a year! I've seen my investment account grow by 55.5%, with actual profits of 31.5%.

This is cause for celebration. It's time to break out some of Lye's Brandy!

All I have right now is a half position in ELN. The rest is in cash, until the market decides which way to go.

I'll have to check to see how many trades I had. That may take a while.

I finally had time to figure it up.

I had a total of 44 trades. Of these 44 trades, I had 28 losers and 16 winners. The way I figure it, that's a 36.4% success rate. I usually sell my losers when they drop between 5-10%. I don't pick many winners, but when I do, they make plenty of $$$.

VPHM and ELN were my biggest winners, with PDC not far behind.

I also made quite a few mistakes that cost me a good deal of profit. Hopefully, I'll learn from those mistakes and try to reach my goal of a 100% gain in 2006.

              Webs.
Here's my personal congrats to you on your winning with ELN and PDC. I remember saying that I didn't like PDC long at the point you took it, and you were right and I was wrong. ELN: well, that thing has taken my money more than once, and it is on my list of stocks to leave alone. Whoever trades it, long or short, I just sit on the sidelines now and safely watch. I could never figure out what it was going to do.

              Have a great 2006!

Thanks Webs. That was really nice of you to go digging for those stats. I hope you do meet your goal of 100% gain in 2006. Then you can teach us how to do that too!

I'll be bottom fishing this week, but am going to be cautious. I'll be suprised if the market doesn't have a few correction days.

ELN is still my only position for now.

Wow, I found my thread on the 3rd page. With all these great new traders that have come to our forum, I'm losing my superstar status. That's ok though, as long as we all make a lot of $$$. Welcome everyone!

I finally had one of my buy orders fill today. I bought SNDA at $17.55. I tried for TIII, BTUI and AEY, but none of them met my limit price.

Things are looking good for me right now. My Portfolio is more than double what it was two years ago. It's nice to have more money to trade with. Also I just figured my retirement up the other day, and it looks like my goal of retiring with a seven figure bank account is all but guaranteed. Pus, I have no mortgage and the rest of my debt is just about eliminated. Yes, the Vulcan is determined to spend his retirement rolling in cash. Of course, rolling around in my cash will not be enough. I must continue with my passion for trading. I will turn that million into tens of millions, or hudreds of millions. There's never enough cash. I want to rule the world! hahaha!

Does anyone else use Etrade? I can't log on. It looks like their site is down. It's a good thing I don't have any open trades with them or I'd be highly pissed.
