You don't understand.... I need a break. Someone be thinking about taking the job for a while starting 02-06-06. It would help to have portfolio tracking software though. Using mine has saved me alot of time from the old way of scorekeeping. And to keep the number of allowed picks to a minimum helps the scorekeeper too. If someone has Vector-Vest I can tell you how I use "V-V Portfolio Tracker" to keep the score.

You do a great job and deserve a rest. I could not do it -- heck, I only have a couple hundred posts since we came to this site.

Here is a suggestion:



What if we create a “spreadsheet” in cyberspace that is accessible to all players. Each

player enters their own trades, max 2. Modify the rules so that a person can buy/sell on a Friday close (or last trading day of the week) for the “next” weekly contest.



When the contest is over, one person goes back and checks the opening and closing transaction prices for accuracy, then posts that the contest has been audited. Each person can look at the spreadsheet to see how they did.



Regarding OIH 144.90 versus 144.60, I believe the rules use the opening price, not the bid and ask price, isn’t that correct?

Here is my raw data and time of sales screen for OIH on 1/17/06 @ 9:00:07 AM. Also as posted last night sell OIH at the open today and buy ELN - long at the open today. Thanks Lye. I was also thinking that a few of us each week could take one or two days of keeping score and posting the results for that day to take the burden off of you for awhile. You've done a spectacular job at creating a monster of a POTW and I for one don't want to see it go down the drain. I'm up to my ears in work running two business operations and will make some time to keep it going as you have it running now. How about if we make it so that the guy running it gets a bonus each week for running it. Say .5 % or 1 % but not until I take my turn and not until you finish your term. LOL.

Nice fancy chart there Skiracer.... but in Bedford county Virginia the market dosen't open until 9:30 AM dude.... Now when you start keeping score you can make it 9:00 AM if you'd perfer.... But for now you gotta live with 9:30....

Believe it or not my personal portfolio reached an all time high yesterday. Is down a bit today, but not much bolstered by BEL FDG EGY. Can't check mutual funds that easily. They probably took a bigger hit.
