Rocker-Rob.... Your Avatar is HUUUUGE dude!!!!!!!lol

No I don't use Excel bud.... You know how computor-stupid I am.... I just use the V-V portfolio tracker, I modified the fields and enter (1) one share for each player (long or short) and just track the % ROE.... Then hit the "Prt Sc" button then paste and trim in MS Paint then manually add the players prior picks (if any) and cash positions (if any) then post the (MS Paint) image to imageshack.com.... Scroll back a few pages and you can see what one of my scorecards looks like.

That would be COOL if you could create a program for the POTW! You are the HUUUUUGEST computor dude I know! If Rocker-Rob can't do it.... It can't be done.

btw.... look at that lil IMCL feist scamper now....jejejeeeee "TICK"

Oh well...as my great grandaddy, who was a Russian immigrant used to say... "Если Вы не можете бить их, борются с ними"

Did I say I would be the biggest loser? I was just kidding of course...

Although CAL has made a substantial gain over the past two days, the time has come to prove how superior my Vulcan stock picking skills are.
CAL will gain a little more until lunch time tomorrow before it takes a nosedive towards ultimate bankrupcty. Mark my words...the Vulcan knows the future.

Anyone care to question my inifinite wisdom???

I have some excel macros to fetch O-H-L-C and Volume data from Yahoo Finance, but its all EOD, so it wouldn't be useful if people are moving in/out of stocks during the day. I'd also be a snap to calculate %returns and keep track of your points race, however you figure that up.

My ultimate goal is to master the Vulcan methodology and thus understand the "wisdom" and become a true VulcanTrader.... As I continue as a student of the Vulcan I notice these underlying principles and personality traits that may help me in my quest.... One thing I find so remarkable about your Vulcan MO is how compassionate you are. You knew full well what CAL's price would do this week.... Yet rather than using the "ca$h" position provision and wait to enter CAL (short) at the peak TOMORROW.... You entered at the open yesterday..... KNOWING full well you would win by a lesser margin than you COULD have had you utilized the POTW (fair and balanced) rules to the full..... Incredable! You want to win.... YET you desire that the other players feel they actually have a chance. Please explain how this masked kindness fits into your plan of ultimate success Vulcan?

I know! The Hulk was my favorite comic when I was a kid! Anyway, that's the one I created when I first joined this board. Then after an extended absence I came back and discovered I had no avatar but that it was available as one of the choices on the User CP page. I also noticed some of the others' avatars in there too. So I just re-assumed that which I (and Marvel Comics) made in the first place.

Don't underestimate your abilities with the computer. Do you realize how few people there are who can even do what you just described?

I found one of your recent scorecards on the top of this page.

Well I don't know if I'd go that far, but I know a couple of tricks.

Anyhow, on that scorecard I noticed that you have two figures in some of the rows in the Gain/Share column, which obviously show a mid-week change, and it looks like those rows are ranked based on the combination of those figures. There's got to be an easier way to handle that. I will try to find some time to monkey around with it and see if I can automate some of the more tedious functions, although abundant free time is not a luxury I'm enjoying at the present time.

Thanks Sci. I've got that stuff too. I was thinking I might be able to tailor something specific to the contest, something that would minimize the amount of figures that have to be manually plugged in—although as you point out some of them will have to be, i.e. mid-day changes, etc.

Ah yes, I can feel the energy synergyzing between Webs and Lyehopper. It won't be long before they Vulcanize into one Vulcanatic action and become the Superstock picker Webshopper. I just came back from a delicious linguine and fresh clams in white sauce dinner and two bottles of red wine. I am definitely seeing things in a clearer fashion now. It took two bottles this trip but I think I've finally got it right. Lye I can see you with those ears and they definitely look good on you. You are both the greatest.
