Gary, congratulations! Gorgeous pick! Good to hear you are holding RWC yourself. Last week I was grumbling a bit about CMCO: in the green, but below the POTW average, but this week things are different. This was the worst week of the POTW to date: down on average -5.94%. My Mechanical Fund was up, partly because of CMCO.

I think I'll hold CMCO just another week!

Lye, I have two suggestions for the POTW rankings:
        - add an average result please!
        - perhaps it is an idea to calculate a total percentage by compounding, and not by simple addition. Someone who lost 10% with one stock and gained 10% with the other has not scored 0% but -1%. Things are all in a spreadsheet now, so this should be no problem. Instead of simply (Gain1 + Gain2) you use ((1+Gain1) * (1+Gain2)) - 1

          Webs,
Just kidding with you and Lye by the way, about the stocks but you guys know that. It wasn't that big of a jar to start with but much appreciated. My buddies stop over an I like to give each one a small, half of a shot glass, taste. It's so smooth everyone loves it. I've been taking about 1/4 shot every now and then before jumping into bed and I sleep like a baby. Sometimes it's hard for me to stop my brain from running I've got so much going on and the goji juice has been great for that. I've been pickled since 1966/1967. It's the governments an the army's fault. I had a great week with the projects at work and real estate and was in a playful mood last night. My highest finish in the POTW in awhile. Lately I haven't been able to hit the floor if I fell out of bed in the POTW which hasn't been good in my trading account because I usually own the ones I play. Get ready for this week Webs. You've lost two weeks in a row and this could be a trend moving into the minus pool.

Why would you like to see the 1% penality for a player who plays two stocks?.... Cause you never do?hehe.... This rule would benifit you and not me. I always trade twice and you NEVER do. Why would I do that? why Why WHY?!!!! Does Lyehopper look LOCO? don't answer that.jejeje.... Speaking of LOCO.... I just cooked a "test chicken" mmmmmmm!!!! PERFECT!!!! I ate the whole freakin thing.

BURPPPPP..... skuse me.... back to the POTW.... If you think about it Karel, it's fair to add the two stocks and not penalize the player.... Since every player has the same opportunity to trade twice.... EVEN YOU DUDE!!!! now, shall I mail you a leftover chicken on Monday?
                    BEEF!... it's whats for dinner!

Lye, that's not called penalizing, it is called compounding. 1st stock loses 10%: $1000 becomes $900. $900 invested in a second stock that gains 10%: the $900 becomes $990. Net loss 1%. It can work out differently too: Both stocks lose 10%: 1000 > 900 > 810, for a loss of 19% instead of 20% by the current calculation method. Both stocks gain 10%: 1000 > 1100 > 1210, for a gain of 21% instead of 20% now. I think it is better to see both "events" as related, which requires compounding. The general average consists of "unrelated events", which requires a simple average.

                      Regards,

                      Karel

                            Ray Long: targetted!

                            Ray,
I want to warn you that you've been targetted by Gorilla Trades as some kind
of a shark that is looking for easy prey out there. You may want to get your lawyers busy on Monday morning to stop this libel.

By the way: do you know that old man slandering you in the photo? That isn't your father-in-law, is it?

                            I thought so.

I'm torn between three stocks to start the week. IDNX, which I own from $7.92, MIND and DXPE which I don't own but am looking to enter both this week perhaps on Monday morning depending on the markets. I like them both alot an am looking for any feedback. I'll be starting the week in one of them.
