Results For Week Of Feb. 20, 2006

Check it out. It was a hard-fought battle between BoSox Jon and Diogenes for the gold this week right up to the end, but ol' BoSox, looming out there like the "Green Monster," edged out a victory by 0.38%! Way to go Bo!!!!!!! Awesome pick!!!!!

Not to be slighted in the least, Diogenes' ADAM pick was so beautiful this week, it looked like something you might find in the Garden of Eden. 9.48% is a superb gain for the week!!! Super play Dio!!!!!

Pete grabs the bronze this week with an explosive pick, TNT! This baby posted a highly admirable 4.84% gain for the week! As J.J. Evans would say, Dy-No-MIIIITE!!!!!!!!

At the last minute SledDawg tried to take a short-cut and head everyone off at the pass, but he ran out there on ice that was a little too thin and took an ice-cold plunge! Oh well, Sled, that's ice-cold water under the bridge now. A new game starts Monday.

What a hoot!! Please accept my apologies for pulling down the All Players averages. I confess I saw an outside chance to get the bronze after a largely uninspired performance by going for a big finish. Guess the degree of difficulty was a bit too high on this one. Saw it bump up a little bit and drop to about 2.18, but I got a little preoccupied with a RIMM short and never looked at it again.

Congrats to Jon and Diogenes and, well, everyone who finished ahead of me...

I was out of town for the past few days, so I decided to let my pick run. SURG didn't get me the win this week, but I may stay with it for next week. I'll make my decision tomorrow.

Long IMCL

I'm going long IMCL again next week.

The FDA's decision on the Erbitux SBLA for head & neck cancer should be in by Wednesday at the latest, and from the outstanding results that have been reported in the phase III trials, plus the European recommendation, it looks to be a shoe-in.

I'm not sure how much of a pop to expect, if any at all. Some believe the postive ruling and subsequent boon in sales are already baked into the price. They may be right, though evidently Carl Icahn doesn't think so, or he wouldn't be controlling 9.8% of the outstanding shares. We'll see. I'm looking for something north of 40 by the end of the week.
