Week 20 (7), Day 1
Skiracer is the initial breakaway leader on this 1st day of the week with better than a TDWEP on MED! Excellent play, Speed Racer ... er ... I mean Skiracer!
1st runner up this fine Monday is our ol' charting pal, Spikefader, with a short play on GTW! Mighty fine, there, Spike, mighty fine!
2nd runner up is Jiesen, who luuuuuuuuvs that AMLN! Well you can see why, can't you? almost 2½% for a day's gain is enough to make even the Oracle of Omaha sit up straight in his chair, clear his throat and straighten his necktie! (BoSox is right smack on your tail, there, Jiesen, tryin' to edge you out o' 3rd.)
It's only one day so far, and as experience has shown us, it's still anybody's game this week! So have at it, y'all!

today sucked
I'm down 5+% in my POTW. I am down even more in my total real portfolio today. Today I have experienced the absolute worst day that I have ever experienced in the market since I began investing- a 6+% overall drop! This was precluded by a 1+% drop on Thursday and another 1+% drop on Friday.
The markets have effectively wiped out what has taken months to build in the matter of 16.5 total hours. I need tissues and a shoulder....
The only good part... I am still up from my total investment. But, swimming in a sea of red does not make me feel good about it.

Don't feel bad Peanuts...My experience was exactly the same today. Although I didn't break my record for the biggest loss in one day, it did finish in the top 5. I dropped a little over 5% today, taking away all of the gains I've made in the past month.Originally posted by peanuts

Now I remember. I picked ESCL short after a stocklemon.com investigation in January predicted they'd be shut down soon. They have a mutual fund based on rare postage stamps. You get a photocopy of what you supposedly own a piece of. It's real big in South America.

I thought at first I was going to miss it as it went off early on and then dropped big time to $12. Not a bad day.
