I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. As of 12:15 p.m. est , drutzen has a huge advancing stock, while several that will remain unnamed have huge declining stocks , more details after market close.
too bad I am not holding.
Interesting though, 55mil outstanding, 21 mil float and it looks as though the avg volume has only been about 51 k in the past. definately not a momo play with only 700 k trading in the past few days
Must have been one that people have put in the sock drawer and forgotten about. This leads me to believe something is going well for the company.
Has a great big dipper pattern on the yearly chart..... is there such a thing, let's make it up, lol.
just one day though, 4 to go and I know what i've done the past couple of weeks. ugh
Spike, I commend you for your picks. You stated somewhere that your perception was Bullish for this week, but you saw set- ups on the short side and so you traded what you saw. For this you have been rewarded nicely.
If it is true that the trend is our friend then what has been the trend for 2005 thus far?
Spike, if you, indeed, open all of those positions, then I TRUELY congratulate you. Of course, you wouldn't need me to congratulate you, when your account is doing that

Yep - fortune favors the brave I guess Plus the trend has been down. I just look at the first 4 days of the year and shake my head that it's foreboding a down year this year.

lol no way! You know me, I'm very picky about my entries; I don't just open 5 blanket shorts while I'm bullish! But just to compete in the competition I'll have a go and do it - all for the fun. I just got lucky this week.
The results are in . In a terrible week only 4 of the 39 picks went up in price and guess who was the only person to pick 2 stocks that advanced. Believe it or not, it was spikefader , who shorted all 5 picks and was correct on 3 of them.
