Do you feel like snickering at me now? If you do, roll up your chart into a cone shape and use it like a megaphone so I can hear you. Then at least is will serve some purpose.

Come on, I think I've earned a little gloating rights here, going against the revered chartists with real dough and all.

Oh ... and by the way ... check out ALDA, which I also called. At least Spike backed me up on that one.

              Week 29 (3), Day 1

Who wants BIDU? "I do! I do!" said BoSox Jon, and he nonchalantly racks up 7.56% in one day! The fact that it gapped down 1.4% at the open from Friday's close didn't hurt 'im none either. Go, Bo!

What can I tell ya 'bout EBAY? It was cheap, so I bought it. Here's hoping today's price action is not a "flash-in-the-pan," and that there will be plenty more bidders out there bidding it up!

Kind of a gutsy move to be shorting oil drill rig suppliers, or whatever the heck NBR does, but Dio's not shy-o! And his short on NBR was not a dry hole! Nice play, Diogenes!

SssSssSss. Rob's feelin' pretty good this evening! Chart as a megaphone.... hehe that's a good one.

EBAY's days are numbered Rob When precisely are earnings announced anyway?

                Nice call on ALDA dude.

Are you in the green on your EBAY trade? I forgot your entry . . . was it $27.48 or something? I think I recall saying I didn't think EBAY would be called away from you at $27.50.

If I am correct in that the strike is $27.50, then I would suggest saving the gloating until expiration this Friday. I will be glad to admit I am wrong after Friday's close (if indeed I do prove to be wrong). First take the profit, then gloat, if you have to gloat. But gloating isn't a good habit to form. I think you know enough Bible to understand where I am coming from.

And I am glad for you sake that EBAy turned green today. I am not short the stock in real life. Best to ya, Rob!

Spike, EBAY reports Wednesday, time undetermined.

NBB ... With regard to scripture: ". . . and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."—Jesus Christ, Sermon on the Mount, Matt. 7:2.

I got stopped out of my earlier EBAY trade, the one you're referring to. My current long position was taken Friday at 25.60 with no hedge this time.

sorry I'm late to the party, I was out of town on a family reunion. If that qualifies as a valid excuse, then just put me in cash for the whole week (I'll be out of town and can't trade), if not, then I'll take the -5%.

No one knew about the symbol change until Monday morning. I thought Doug said he was going to be out of town for the week and wasn't going to be able to post or play this week. There's a rule in there somewhere accessing a 5% penalty for fibbing.

I haven't denied your existence, Doug. The source for the quotes on the POTW spreadsheet is businessweek.com, which as of yesterday still didn't have HSOA in its database. Though it still had Home Solutions listed under HOM, there was no data feed on it. So I went to nasdaq.com and got the following information:

Sheesh, have a heart, Doug! Ski is down 9.9% on that pick!

I thought he was just kidding. He can't be serious about any of that post can he? Rob, I have it closing in my account at $6.53 so if you want to make the adjustment that's fine with me but no one knew of the symbol change before the open on Monday. Stockcharts didn't have or make the change until almost 12 pm yesterday an I couldn't bring a chart up on it until then. I can't imagine Doug being serious on that one. But it's early in the week so let's see how it plays out over the week. I'm still holding HSOA/HOM

Ski, I figured he was kidding too, which is why I didn't respond to the first post--not to mention that since he was apparently going to be incommunicado for a couple days, it seemed that any reply would probably go unread by the intended recipient.

Regarding the price, I'm assuming businessweek will have their act together by the end of the week, and if not I'll continue to accept nasdaq.com's "official" opens and closes. Incidentally, my streamer also had HSOA opening at 7.30 instead of 7.27, so it's like "six of one, half-a-dozen of the other."
