I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Great victory Spike thought I had a chance don't know what happened.
Damn, me to Ray. I thought I had a chance and don't know what happened.
Nice win Spike coming from behind like that to snatch the victory right at the end.
Bad luck Peanuts! You juuuuuuust ran out of helium on that skinny bullish performer Nice pick though. I think the symmetry on the daily was only the limiting factor.
Congrats Diogene! A fine short pick; large weekly SHS with a test of the neckline and a drop this week that could easily have taken 10% and the gold.
Special congrats to both New-born and RL too. New-born's head-to-head with Rob was interesting to watch play out. The strength of EBAY Mon Tues really wasn't surprising and I thought it was a gutsy move by New-born to short it on Monday. And if you hadn't of taken EBAY short this week dude I would have done it prior to earnings on Wednesday; seriously.
RL, nice pick! You chose a weekly 5th up and it worked well enough to stay nicely green on volume. BVX is in a monthly 3 up, so it may have more left, and any dip will be worth stalking for the 5th monthly in Nov or December I think.
Rob, yep, on a roll dude. But no crumbs here though....my "reality" food is green and leafy jejeje
Well...I'm back...The plane didn't crash...although we were an hour late.
Nice job to Spike, Goober and Dio...However, I spent this whole week coming up with a Super Secret Sure Fire pick that will blow everyone away next week...Doug(IIC)

Nice post..the thing that you have that most of us do not is time. If you keep investing a small percentage of your income stream, you'll be way ahead of the curve.
WOW! Hey look, I got a reply from Mr. MM. Thanks your HUGESNESS
Sticky,
My 20 year old son has already put $3000 in his Roth IRA and it's worth $3300. If he can keep contributing he'll be set for life and won't be too old to enjoy it. You've got a 5 year advantage on him. Keep studying this investment business . You'll never regret it.

Hi BillyJoe
Wow that’s a lot of money your son saved up. Well I can’t really contribute any form of money until I get a work permit at 15 ½ or 16. But from now till then I have time to do research and plan. You say “If he can keep contributing he'll be set for life”, please explain in more deal? I understand a retirement has advantages and it is the time factor but are there risk of losing some or all of the savings?
My brother’s friend, Will is 36; an unemployed EE grad student. Will told my brother that he had started contributing $100 each month toward a Roth IRA for the past three years now. He said he wasn’t educated on the subject so he started late and can never play catch up. I don’t understand what he means by he can’t play catch up? He’s better late then never starting on, I think. His sum won’t be as great as the others that started when they were younger but he has to take into account how his investment also plays a big part that can make up for those lost years. NO?

DUDE! first of all, nice play during the week. Secondly, I got robbed in the last 10 minutes... I thought for sure that USLM was going to close at $32, then someone couldn't tkae it anymore and dropped the price 60 cents in one trade... such the life of thinly trades stocks. I don't know why I love them so much. I would have won if it ended the week at $32

Rob, your wealth of information astounds me... goober = peanuts... I never knew that until your write-up. I like my biscuits to be steaming when I crack them open. mmmm
Congrats to anyone that was in positive territory this difficult week

Sort of an arcane reference. I learned what goober peas were when I was about 5 years old. My mom had this Kingston Trio record, and one of the songs on it was "Goober Peas." I loved that song, but I didn't know what goober peas were until I asked my mom. The Kingston Trio was by far and away my favorite musical group until I was about 7. That's when the Beatles came to America, and until now no one has supplanted them as my favorites. I suspect no one ever will.
If any of you have never heard the Kingston Trio, do yourself a favor and find some of their old recordings in used record stores and flea markets (that's "swap meets" for those of you in Southern California). Listen to them. They were truly great but have practically vanished into anonymity.
