I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Spike,
I wonder if you'd like to go back to your original way of posting charts over here. I can't read the miniscule chart once I click on it. And if I click on it a second time, viola!, it disappears! Nice magic trick, but hard on my port
That's weird....it should open the picture at the size specified at the bottom of the thumbnail. Somethin' wrong with your browser settings maybe. Do you use IE or Firefox? I'll try to do it the other way if the chart will fit anyway.

I dizzzcovered the problemo, Amigo. When I click on the chart, a small box opens. IF I immediately click on the chart BEFORE enlarging the box, I get a larger chart. THEN I enlarge the box, and all is well. IF I enlarge the box and then click on the chart, I get Imageshack homepage.
Thanks, Spike!
BTW, looking at wire, I still think WIRE pulls back at resistance coming up pretty quickly. What thinkest thou?
I don't think EGN has anything left in it for the week. I want to sell it and buy ALDA in hopes for a price pop from earnings announcement today. Thank you

Long ALDA is a dangerous play Peanuts.... Looks like it's going to fall hard to me dude. Be careful if you're in it with real dollars.

Not with real money... it's too thinly traded!!! (you know my real feelings on thinly traded stocks, however- I LOVE 'EM)
This will either be one of those "great call, dude" or, "I told ya so" kind of trades. I figure I've got a lot of catching up to do if I'm ever going to beat DMK, so I need to be more risky. I was also thinking of shorting NGA until 3:30 on Friday, but that seemed like there wouldn't be enough to catch DMK.
I did short NGA this morning from 8.26 to 8.03 for a quick day trade (missed the 7.9's though) with real money. I'm beginning to really like shorting stocks. I am finding that it is pretty easy to make money with short positions. I still don't have big balls to hold short positions for very long, however. All the short plays I do are day trades, and on stocks with which I am very familiar.

Overnight double top looks bearish. Today will be telling. It is at risk of exhausting and it finishes weak today it may be the whisper of a weekly R shoulder. If/when the neck breaks I'd expect the gap around 20.00 to fill, and likely test of 16.00. It has to do some impressive bullish stuff to change my bearish bias on it.

I am right there with ya, Man! My sentiments exactly. Right now it is losing bullishness . . . getting weaker like a bleeding bull.
Da Mighty Kong has scaled the Empire State Building yet again! And he's swattin' down airplanes left and right as though they're made of Styrofoam! 38.57% is King Kong size, no matter how you try to monkey around with the figures!
Talk about Sweet Little Sixteen ... ol' Chuck Berry never saw a sixteen lookin' as sweet as that 16% on Skiracer's gain column! How far you figgerin' on ridin' that BVX, Ski? Looks like there could be some tough moguls and ice patches up ahead!
Well, Goober done it to us with the lime, and now he whippin' on us with graphite ... graphite golf club shafts, that is! Only trouble is, it looks like ol' Lyehopper wasn't just whistlin' past the graveyard (or the golf course for that matter) when he said to be careful with that one! I'm lookin' at it after hours right now, and darned if it ain't down 28% to $17.55! Yeeouch!
I think I'm going to invent a new trading strategy: it's really simple ... do nothing but short stocks near the end of the session just prior to their earnings reports. Never long! Just short only! I might lose 7% here and 10% there once in a while, but look at how much greater the odds are of picking up 10, 15, 20% a lot more frequently! I don't know if I'm the first one to ever think that up, but if I am, then I'll have to give it a name ... let's see ... how about ... Rob's Pessimistic Pay-off? Anyone doubt I could make some moolah with it?
Nice pick DMK. Keep a tight rein on it today especially in your trading account. They'll might be looking to take some off the table today.
It sure looked that way in the morning, so of course I take profits to only watch it march its way back up to 33..grr... Can't complain though..still have 1/2 and maybe will add some on a pb.

Lye, I got to hand it to you, you were spot on with that call. ALDA came tumblin' down like a house of cards after today's earnings report. So here is what their rev. & earnings history looks like with the addition of today's numbers:
Will she bounce? Or will she continue to burn? Somebody can make some money here ... but, uh, in which direction?
