    POTW Pick

Another review of the volume and trending of SFN makes me think there is more there. So, will stay with SFN long for next week.

I was really cruisng along --then the blonde In the bikini asked for a ride I had to stop and think If I should throw away the beer and pick her up or keep the beer? Next thing I know I'm finishing third. Thanks for the accolades and now that my daughter Is out of the woods I will concentrate on building my dart board. Peanuts I really just throw darts thats how I picked my stock. By the way I kept the beer.

And why did I pick GOOG? Because I believed they would easily exceed the $2.90 Q4 earings estimate and that this bloody cash cow would rightly blow past $500/share.

Well shucks, they only reported $3.29, nearly three times the previous year's Q4 earnings figure, so I reckon I deserved to lose over 3% for the week. And, as if to rub a little salt in the open wound, IMCL, which I had said I really, really wanted to play (because of its being stupidly undervalued) opened Monday at $27.65 and closed Friday at $29.76, an increase of 7.63%.

In the real world I'm holding onto both of them.

Congrats to Gator, Karel & the Beer-drinking Dart-thrower!

Peanuts...You asked for reasons from the Top 3 pickers...What about the bottom 3???

I'll go first...I was very busy last weekend and did absolutely no DD...that's why I played QID and QLD so many times this week...Doesn't take an Einstein to Daytrade those 2 and I actually made some money on them overall.

So why MOT short?...Because of the unfavorable article in Barron's last weekend...How was I supposed to know Park and his buddy Carl were gonna gang up on me???...IIC

    Reason for POTW Pick

    Peanuts:
I picked SFN for a combination of Technical and Fundamental reasons. Recently, it has been closing at the or near the high of the day after breaking out of a base on good volume. What it needed in my opinion was a good jobs report to push it higher. It got that this week. It is above both the 13 day and 50 day EMA's with PEG ratio of 1.015. I liked the fast line crossover on MACD and positive Histogram.
It 1st came to my attention from one of my momentum screens,
    Go GATORS

    Week 5, Final Score

    Week 5 - Traffic Jam
Day 5 - And the winners are...

I don't know if it really counts when you have to drag your dog through the drive-thru line, but Scifos gets to Krispy Kreme just as they turn on the "hot now" sign. Gary made it to Timmy's just ahead of the time it took Scifos to get to Krispy Kreme. If that means something, I'm not sure what it is. Spike was able to go 5 miles while hopping on his one good foot, but it was nowhere as fast as he needed to go in order to place in the top three. Speaking of which, it was a close race to the end for 4 players. New-born baby really got cruising once he learned how the clutch worked, but that little VW was no match for RL on a skateboard, trying to get in the front row for the bikini contest. Were those scissors in his back pocket? I wonder what he would want to do with those... Karel proves that the Dutch can ride a bike better than any other nationality and he gets to church just in time for Chapter 1. Who can compete against modern technology? First of all, probably Mr. Market, but he's not part of the contest, so that leaves us with the rest of the players. The answer is nobody. Gatorman knew that and used his Gatorman Garmin to plot the fastest way to The Gatorhaus... yes, he was dressed as a gator, but this was no alligator restaurant. This was a German bar in Florida and the defending National Champion Florida Gators were playing Tennessee in Basketball. Nice pick, Gatorman. You're truely a dedicated fan and worker to be there a day early! Congrats!!!

Websman just spun his wheels the whole time. He didn't make it anywhere; it was just smoke for him. Peanuts ditched the Big Wheel for some Heelys shoes, but gave up the race when he lost his front teeth to the pavement. Skiracer got busted by the cops. It was a good thing that nobody got seriously hurt in the accident, but Rob and Big Bird got into a fight. Ernie (no, not THAT one ) had to break it up. One of our newest players, let-it-ride, showed us a few things: 1) that chicken-riding can be done in the first place 2) that proper motivation includes choking. and 3) Catching falling flu-infected Chinese chickens is tough work, but once you've got one, it can bounce better than rubber chicken. IIC just refused to put it in drive. He likes it when people stare.

It is kindly requested that the top 3 explain why they chose to play the POTW the way they did for the week.

It was a nice run today on TBV that should move me up a bit. I should have my head examined for taking a partial position on the first down day.

Wild ride for me this week for a lot of my trades. Will see what I can do next week.
