I have a few Japanese customers you see. I can ask for a beer, newspaper, taxi, pencil, water, chicken, and banana all in Japanese!LOL.... I can also say "excuse me" and "thank you".... I learned a few little Japanese sayings from a young Mechanical Engineer back in the early 90's (He's now the plant Manager). One is "The Customer is God (Kami)" [not literally, it's just a saying showing reverence to your customer].... Another is "Sometimes even a monkey (Saru) falls from tree".... This saying is appropriate if you have really tried diligently and have serviced the customer flawlessly.... then you screw something up.... Like miss a delivery date. It's better if the customer says it to you though.
To succeed as a customer of a hard-line Japanese Company it's not good to be presumptuous ... but humble. I have found that once you prove yourself, they are extremely loyal customers and don't mind paying a premium for quality and service.
So Jeisen.... You still speak Japanese?
