I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. I must say that I have had a great week with PARL. I also had high expectations for HTRN this week but closed down for the week. Looked like it was going to go off again today as it hit 13.25 but then reversed and sold off to close at 12.72. My entry is at 12.75 so I'm off .03 with it. PARL more than made up for it. I got back in yesterday at 22.65 with another half position and sold it this afternoon at 24.10.
I almost sold HTRN today at 13.20 and wish I had as it ended up weakening and not being able to hold it's gains. Could have taken the gains and re-entered lower than my previous entry of 12.75. It's been having some rather large intraday swings ranging from 12.50 to 13.25 recently. I still like it to go to 15/16 range. I think that the daytraders and momo guys are playing with it and that's why it hasn't been able to hold those gains. Institutional support is way up. I'm going to wait it out until next week and maybe play the intraday swings if it is still happening that way.
The final standing for the week are:
1st: Skiracer: up 11 %
2nd: Ray Long: up 2.8 %
3rd: Spikefader: up 1.1 %
4th: Grebnet: down 2.7 %
5th: Drutzen: down 6 %
We need some fresh blood to come into this game. A couple of the regulars didn't make it this week and we could use some of the irregulars to join in. There are a few out there that are spewing out the picks. Why not throw a couple of those gems into this game. No big deal but it would make for a more interesting situation with several more players. Don't be afraid to have your picks slide on down the drain in front of the rest of us. Maybe they'll go in the other direction and you'll end up winning. Who knows, you might end up the greatest stockpicker in the world next to MM. Anyway there's no work involved an it is nice when you're the one on top of the leader board. I'll handle it again this coming week but it would be nice to have a few more players. Again any suggestions to make it more exciting are welcome.
Have a nice three day weekend everyone and no drinking if you're going to drive. Otherwise sauce it up at those barbequties.
Ski terrific don't know If we can catch you. What method do you use to make your picks? Think I'll start playing yours and forget the darts. Ski your 100% right If you drink don"t drive and have a great day and lets all say a prayer for our heros.
1) CONGRATS SKI
2) I did not enter last week 'cause I was busy w/ some projects
3) I will enter next week...AND I WILL WIN!!!...LOL...It could happen
4) Suggestion: Forget all the complicated rules...Keep it simple...Forget the limits, midweek sells etc...
5) RL...I don't believe for a second that you are "Throwing Darts" ...Unless they are guided missiles
6) Next week's WINNER is....Oop's...My computer is acting up...Guess you'll have to wait till Monday

Doug,
Looking forward to seeing you in the game next week. Hope you win this sucker asap.
BJ,
Same goes for you. Hope you win this sucker.
Ray Long,
You've already won this once or twice but good luck this coming week. I have about a dozen strategys that I use. It's really a conglomeration of stuff that I like to see on the charts an in the breaking newswires. Sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn't. I usually just exit early when it isn't going the right way. That way I last longer an it seems like I'm doing alright. This week was a good one with PARL. They are not all like that which I'm sure you know.
Having been to war and come home in one piece I pray every day for those guys doing the job wherever they are. We all should be thankful of that, especially this weekend.
I'll be saucing it up this weekend somewhat at a couple of barbeques but I married a designated driver who doesn't like the way I drive even when I haven't had a few drinks. So when we're together I never drive anyway.
With this long weekend it should give everyone a chance to do their research and come up with a few good plays. Looking forward to another week of competition. Let's get a whole bunch of players into this thing.
Mr. Market would also be welcome to provide us with a couple of his own homegrown selections.
I was trying to spice it up somewhat with the few variables I tried to make available. No one used them anyway except for RL once I believe or was it Drutzen. Anyway I agree with Doug about keeping it simple. But it's everyone's game and choice. So let me know what you think about leaving it just the way it is with the few options available or to just go back to picking them and letting them ride out the storm one way or another.
