I still will abide by the ruling of the scorekeeper, but only if I'm allowed to stamp my foot and pout like Shirley Temple.

Not only can you not pick fair picks for POTW, but you didn't pick the best Shirley Temple dance sequence, either. Try this one:
By the way, the butler, Bill Bojangles Robinson, is 55 years old in this sequence; Shirley is six. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Bill_Robinson.jpg

I agree The Bojangles number is better, but when it comes to tap dancing these guys are the besthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWa3i...elated&search=
The Nicholas Brothers with Cab Calloway. I spent many hours talking with the wife of the bass player in this orchestra in 1970 as a result of being a hospital roommate of his brother in law who was in a coma and wasn't very good company.

Actually, I liked the Bill Robinson stair dance better. The Nicholas Brothers are much more virtuoso, agreed, but Robinson makes it look so natural and easy. It just is wonderful to look at.Originally posted by billyjoe View PostI agree The Bojangles number is better, but when it comes to tap dancing these guys are the besthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWa3i...elated&search=

I think I'd better refrain from voicing my appreciation of Shirley Temple.

Wow. I had never seen the Nicholas Brothers before. When they did the splits, jumping over each other as they came down those giant stairs, I was thinking thoughts like, "Men aren't supposed to do the splits" and "these guys are as athletic as any NFL player." They weren't even out of breath at the end of their performance.Originally posted by billyjoe View PostI agree The Bojangles number is better, but when it comes to tap dancing these guys are the besthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWa3i...elated&search=

My wife and kids had never seen any Shirley Temple until Billy's post last night. Incredible 4 yr old, isn't she?Originally posted by Karel View PostActually, I liked the Bill Robinson stair dance better.
