I know that you are a lovable and personable guy but what I find amazing is that being the IBD basher that you are how could they ask you to participate in anything. BTW what is a Beta tester. Is that anything like a better tester?

If you had something that you wanted to test out who would you pick to be a beta tester...Some wimpy guy who just goes along with whatever...Or a Direct, Upfront, Honest Guy who's not afraid to give you some constructive criticism on how to improve your product or service?

As a matter of fact...I happen to be very good at analyzing things, finding fault and suggesting improvements. I cannot think of anyone better to test this thing out than me...I'll find every flaw in it and I'll let them know about them....I'm looking forward to it as I'm sure they are anxious to hear what I think...But then again, I coulda just been selected to participate by some SUPER COMPUTER!!!

Also, I don't consider myself a basher...I just try to help them out...Just think of all the free publicity they get from me..."The only Bad Publicity is No Publicity"...Doug

PS...I was a DailyGraphsOnline Beta Tester too...Who do you think ranted and raved about their RealTime Service not being available on intraday charts???...That's Right...It was me...Did I have any influence???...Who knows???...But now they have it.

Beta=Test...When you want to get feedback on a new product you are considering to offer for sale you offer it to a group that you think might be knowledgeable about your product or similar products...Your product is offered to those Beta Testers for a period of time in return for their feedback/opinion about your product...Sometimes it is free (as in this case w/ IBD Alerts)...Sometimes you charge a nominal fee and sometimes you pay the beta testers...Doug

I was a beta tester for Yahoo Finance message boards, but they never listened to my suggestions. As a matter of fact, they did just the opposite...

I laid it out there before the open for the board. Who got their +7% in real money in less than 30 minutes? (Not me, I'm just resorting to desperate measures to win the POTW.)

The story on the stock is it is merging with a REIT for office building, mostly in Hawaii. The company also declared a $1.00/sh special dividend as of around Jan. 14, payable later in Jan. 2007. At 14.00/sh the div is worth 7.14%, but who knows what the stock will do between today and ex-div. Odds are the stock will sink back toward about $5/sh after that. This deal is basically allowing a private RE company (Jay Shidler) to go public at low cost.

AZL was an awesome pick, Park! It appears you pulled the plug on it a little early, but terrific gain nevertheless! No ... I didn't buy any. If I had it would probably have just sat there or even gone down.
