  • Don't forget, it is options expiration week.

If anyone wants to really gamble, options can be picked this week. If it is ok with everyone.
I would just put down a couple of guidelines.
If you pick an option, they do not open until 15 mins. after stocks, at that time I will take the ask price for the buy.
On Fri., I will take the bid price for sell, so the spread may eat up a little of your gains.
There are no partial options so if you may have some cash left over.
If you pick a stock and an option, 50 50, and there is left over cash from option, I will dump it into the stock.

Anyone game?? or would you rather keep it stocks?

Opening it up to include options is fine with me. More work on your part Drutzen.

          sounds good to me.

          I'll change my pick to:
sell to open GOOG 320 Jun calls

which should guarantee me a 100% profit provided that that GOOG doesn't close above 320 on Friday. (that is unless you're not allowing a sell to open option trade, in which case, nevermind)

Doug thanks again your the real ENCYCLOPEDIA. I'm going to give up Ask Jeeves. As for options don't have a dart board set up with that purpose will have to stay with stocks. Later going to play some golf now.

            • Very nice Jiesen, and it does look like there are people dumb enough to buy them, over 2000 contracts on Fri., unless these are just in case people covering from a nice sell earlier.

How about we have to go long on the options whether it is calls or puts, otherwise we should have everyone at 100% this week

              • I am still liking VPHM and i am still long. Holding 9dma well, good earnings and good mo. The one part that may be a tiny bit iffy was the big down volume 3 days ago, hopefully that was just profit taking and letting it be ready for another run. I still think 10 is in the cards for it, but they are converting notes into stock, hopefully that is done also. I also added to position last week on dip.

ERS looks better, completing a triangle and should be able to get close to 10 also, BJ's pick last week, so I will leave it for him if he wants it again.

DSTI should be the mo of the week, it may want to work on a htf, if it does I would think right around 12.5 to 13 is the area.

PWEI, i am still long, inched below 9dma but held 10dma, good earnings, and working on a small cwh, but the low volume makes it a hard pick for the contest.

I am trying to get a cwh out of SNDA and JMDT, which I still think are nice for a little longer term, but my guess is that they both will try to test the 50dma first before getting back a bit of the mo

My best guess for the winner of the week would be from an option, GOOG 280 call or put?, EBAY 37.50 call or put? which way will they go? Or, earnings next week of those that are near strike prices, GS BSC KBH ADBE BBY CC?

I will stick with VPHM long, and maybe add option for a 50 50

                      Doug's Pick: SKS

                      Doug,

Mr. Breakout was great this week. Thank you.

Not in love with SKS: very choppy chart, tentative target of $18.75, or only about $1 this week. Who knows? Thought I'd post the chart and look back next Friday to see what I don't know about picking stocks.

You still have time to change your pick to NGPS . . . .

                              Doug,

Here's a GooG chart for sentimental reasons. lol
Where are the Goolag Islands? Anywhere near Gitmo? lol I figured that Uncle Sam might have given you accomodations for free down there since you are one of them terrorist types

Back to business: I think GooG is headed to $260 this week. Yeah, she's a going to whipsaw around, but selling the $300 naked call looks quite safe to me.
