I'll just let you all know now, that by doing this, I will have to spend more time each day constructing the scorecard than what I generally care to do. But I love you all and will sacrifice my time to make this contest better for you.
Having handled the game myself on a few occassions I know how much time it takes to keep track of it but everyone who ever took care of it always kept the order of finish for each day in descending order. 1st at the top and on down to last at the bottom. You are truly a martyr to sacrifice your life and time for all of us. You know that time is the only non-replenishable commodity so this would truly be a gigantic sacrifice on your part. We all own you a great debt of gratitude. Perhaps one of the POTW participants could find some woman they know who would be willing to maybe take a closer look at you and even go out with you. Someone who has some fettish for martyrs would be a good fit. Of course you would have to pay for her airfare to bring her into the Pittsburg area. But even if you decide or the participants decide that it isn't important to have any order of daily finish and it doesn't get done you are still doing a great job for just taking the responsibilty of doing it. I personally love you and if I we were both gay I would consider dating you.

Peanuts just mentioned a stock to me in my trading room that I will play long here, so credit to him if I get back green today.

Close out PNCL and long OFI thanks peanuts! I think it's worth a couple % risk for the 5th!

Week 4, end of week results

Week 4 - The Burning Building
                  Day 5 - a solemn ending

The door-pounding couldn't do it, the fire whistles didn't matter (or was that Jiesen screaming), not even the sweet smell of riverbabe's perfume could get all of the players out of the building before it collapsed in a flaming ball of fire. Lyehopper, feeling sorry that Rob was missing out on Karel's BBQ, went back for him, but neither was seen again. Lyehopper was still holding that FORG when he left us. Jiesen finally found Minnie in a trap and decided to add her to the BBQ, the thing is, as soon as he sat down next to Peter Hansen, Peanuts, Karel, Gatorman, Spikefader, and New-born baby to eat their meal, the building came down on top of them. It was their last supper. Trying to gain a great vantage point for some excellent camera shots, IIC climbed to the roof-top for the best angle. It's too bad that the camera was lost along with him... there would have been some awesome pictures on that film.

It was not all bad news at this 5 Alarm Fire. We had a few survivors. RL, Websman, skiracer, and sirtuck all get out alive. Scifos and StkyTreat were visiting billyjoe in the hospital, so they were safe all along. But there were a few players that not only got out alive, but were able to save a good portion of their wealth while doing so. Stenzrob kept pushing on, saying over and over again what sounded like, "I must, I must," but what he was really saying was, "IMOS IMOS" He must not be a Stern fan. He was the third player out of the building. Mimo 100 hardly moved at all the whole time, but was able to move enough to wiggle out right behind the one with a hot date- Riverbabe, who at first was late to get out of her room because she was putting on make-up for her hot date, but then swept past the rest of the players. In the end we learned why she was moving so fast when she was finally ready- she had a date with a man named SU. Have a great one, Riverbabe! Congrats on bagging the guy and the winning spot for the week! I guess you're going back to his place tonight...

                  GOLD: RIVERBABE
                  SILVER: MIMO 100
                  BRONZE: STENZROB

                        Congrats and CA$$$$H

well, I could kick myself for turning a 3% winner into a 3% loser. I was gone all day, but I thought, HRT is at support, so I'll buy some here and let it pop up 2-3%, and I'll have had a nice week. DOH!

Oh well; it wasn't real money this time.

                        Congrats to all the greenies.

I can't believe I actually won for the very first time! I was beginning to believe I would always be the bridesmaid and never the bride. Nevertheless, contratulations to Mimo & Stenz, and RL and Skiracer for a great contest. I almost blew it by making a late trade into SU, hoping to gain an extra few points, which proved to be a disaster because it went down down down from from there.

I am using the POTW as a public proving ground for strategy, whether right or wrong, because it makes me pubically accountable for my decisions. I have so far learned never to bet against any gaming stock regardless of the chart or the market. I have also learned to stick by the winner and don't get out too soon. If I had stuck with ATI for a while longer today, I could have gained another percentage point. But, it's all a game, after all, and a huge bet. Personally, I made a 7.5% profit on ATI this week, but could potentially have done better.

ATI is a steel and titanium stock that forecast huge fourth quarter earnings and reported on Wednesday. The TA showed a double bottom with a big potential for a breakout that did occur. ATI is a very volatile stock, but I made a bet on it, and it came through. I might consider reinvesting in it in the near future on a pull back. Riverbabe
