I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Register for free and you'll be able to post messages on this forum and also receive emails when $$$ MR. MARKET $$$ makes his own trades. ($$$MR. MARKET$$$ is a proprietary investor and does not provide individual financial advice. The stocks mentioned on this forum do not represent individual buy or sell recommendations and should not be viewed as such. Individual investors should consider speaking with a professional investment adviser before making any investment decisions.)

I know the difference Scifos. I've known Poormans for a few years and know his site is with an s at the end. Just recently I was trying to go to his site and left the s off by mistake and ended up at at the other site. I did that on purpose to see if anyone would go to the other site and you apparently did. I was hoping Lye or Webs would try it without the s an end up there. I thought it was cute. Now I hope everyone will try it just for the hell of it. I'm thinking www.poorman.com just got a few extra members.
I'm surprised Doug isn't familiar with it being that it is based in LA.
I"m going to have to say long GOOG at the open. They're predicting revenues of $1.29 billion according to Yahoo, but I just don't see it.
I'm going to say GOOG's revs. will be closer to the $1.8 billion level.
I'm tempted to take a flyer on ACTS, but I'll hold off. (In real life I'm holding tight to IMCL for the potential buyout news or the FDA approval of Erbitux in head & neck cancer any day now.)

Yo Rob.... Nice charts DUDE!!!! We really like charts and stuff like that.
Small problem.... Photon already picked GOOG (long) this week and we can't have duplications. So I'll stick you in ca$h until you post another pick.
btw.... if you start out in ca$h you have all week to enter your pick and you can stalk your perfect entry.
This is my first time in the POTW contest.
Don't know if I violated the rulez.
Covered BRCM for $1.86 profit.
RULEZ ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN
Alice.... DUDE!!!!?.... you didn't break the rules but you're just a little quick on that trigger imo. I'll bet if loaned you my Citori Lightning and I took you rabbit huntin with me you'd waste alot of meat.... and maybe shoot a good rabbit begal or two with those "off the hip shots".lol.... To be safe, I'd try to stay behind you.... I'd just be prayin that a cottontail didn't decide to run between us.... I've found that sometimes you gotta let that lil sucker run.... good dogs will likely bring em back around and you can re-position yourself for a proper shot.
BRMC opened @ 67.69 and you covered @ 9:44AM $68.39 so you actually lost a little bit on the trade.... guess you saw movement in the bushes and fired with both barrels.... BOOM....BOOM.... you shot ol gypsy, she was a pretty good rabbit dog too.
GOOD NEWS!!!! You are allowed another pick anytime this week. I use the open price for the entry and the high tick within the minute (posted) for the cover on a short.... I've got you in cash right now. I'd be glad to discuss the rules further or even post a copy for your reading enjoyment.

I went short on BMRC last friday at 69.78 in my real portfolio.
For the sake of this contest I covered at 67.92 as I did for my real portfolio.
I am still happy with my short covering though
