I'm a young punk (17) and I've been reading these forums for quite a while using a lot of the strategies others use on here to build on my own. This week I decided I'd join and enter the POTW contest. Beginner's luck I guess?

Spike,
One of my favorites. On that pier by the quarry and Harry says. " go ahead punk, make my day" and then blows him away when he reaches for the gun.
BoSox,
Do you own it? Great year for the Red Sox last year huh. This year ought to be pretty good without Johnny Damon. By the way where is he playing now?THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR

I don't own it. My (lack of) money is busy tied up in NVAX. Even better though I guess
. Mr. Damon is on the Yankees, but eh who needs him, we have Coco now!

NVAX had a nicer day than CHINA an I think the chart looks better. Good for you. On the other hand I can't wait for the season to start and the Yankees to crush the Red Sox into oblivion. I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for Coco to put up the same numbers as Damon.Originally posted by BoSox JonI don't own it. My (lack of) money is busy tied up in NVAX. Even better though I guess

However, the Yankees might now get 80% of the fielding errors of Bernie for 10x the price! Will we see the "winner's curse" in action again!
[EDITED]
Pardon me: Damon's career fielding stats are worse than Bernie's.Last edited by Guest; 02-21-2006, 08:36 PM.

Lived in Boston for 20 years, but not a huge Sox fan (grew up in Memphis) because the ownership during those years was so mediocre. They simply wouldn't spend the money, but it was also mostly owned by a freakin' foundation, er, trust (created by Mr. Yawkey). The new Red Sox owners are richer than God (one of the owners, John Henry, is a commodities trader http://www.streetstories.com/jwh_inst_investor.html) and can spend at a level that matches Steinbrenner.
Boston and New England fantasize (and are fanatical) about summer and the games of summer much like Las Vegas (my present home) fantasizes about water. Wouldn't you say that it's a general observation that a local society focuses the most emotional energy on what it perceives it has the least of!Last edited by Guest; 02-21-2006, 09:47 PM.

I never thought of it that way. Being from NJ the thing we fantasize most about that we have the least of are honest politicians.Originally posted by ParkTwainLived in Boston for 20 years, but not a huge Sox fan (grew up in Memphis) because the ownership during those years was so mediocre.
