    Skiracer, I love you man......but

You know Ski everyone here has been so supportive of you in your noble POTW effort this week and Lord knows I did my part to help you by staying in ca$h....

How do I say this to my old bud Skiracer.... hmmmmm, OK here's how.... Ski, friend, bud, pal.... I knoooow that you're really a great construction project manager and I think you're worth.... not $3k per week.... but $5k per week.... Maybe even $10k!.... I also think you are a great big game hunter (btw muzzleloader season opens tomorrow) and a very fine and talented striper fisherman..... I have heard rumors that you were even quite the ladies man, back in the day.... AND STILL ARE (if you want to be) But as the POTW scorekeeper? you really suck dude! That said; I'll pay you a healthy Goji severance package to retire early as POTW scorekeeper right now!

I say we ALL just plead with Rockin'Rob to return and try not to curse quite so much in the future. Maybe Rob is just "sitting out" as a protest or something. Knowing him as I do, I'll bet he has an updated scorecard on his laptop right now and can post it in about twenty seconds if he wanted to.

Who's with me?!!!! ROB! We get your point! I get your point, your point has been made! you are right on point! I'll never cuss again (well almost never).... If I ever see Tatnic on the street I'll walk up to him, quietly, like a kidnapper might walk up on his target.... and then I'll say PSSST! and then just headbutt him as hard as I can.... and yell "THAT'S FROM @$%*& ROCKIN'ROOOOOB!!!!"

DUDE!!!! RETURN TO THE FORUM! PLEASE! the POTW NEEDS YOU!!!! SKIRACER WON'T ADMIT IT, BUT HE NEEDS YOU, HE SEEMS LIKE A TOUGH GUY BUT HE'S VERRRRRY NEEEEEDY!
    BEEF!... it's whats for dinner!

I would be more than supportive of Rob returning to take over the POTW. I only took it because no one else stepped up and I didn't want to see it go down the drain. It takes up time which I could use elsewhere but I've only had it for a couple of days and I don't think the inconviences have been that hard to live with. It will only be a short period of time before I will have a working knowledge of how to use the formulas and whatever else is necessary to do it with Rob's or my own sheet without repeating these recent problems. I really haven't had the time to give it much thought other than keeping it going. Anyone who wants to take it off my hands right now may do so with my blessing and support.

I don't want it to go down the drain either.... I know you have the ability to keep the score Ed, but I think you might "burn out" doing it manually.

I have kept score many times and in the early days there was only five or six players and manually it would take me alot of time nightly to figure the scorecard.... I eventually started using a simi-automated system using my Vector-Vest portfolio tracker and that was faster but still took me an hour per night once there were fifteen players. Rob has created a completely automated program that takes the data from the internet.... and his program makes very few mistakes.

I could post the score in about an hour per night, sometimes less.... Rob's system takes literally minutes (I have an older copy but I can't remember everything about operating it). He has made several revisions to his current program and I seriously doubt he'd give the automated version out to anyone because he's spent so much time on it. That spreadsheet he's given you will indeed work.... but it's still very time consuming. I'm gonna call him at home and see what's on his mind.

I commend Ed (Ski) for stepping up to the plate at a moment's notice. I think we should give him a chance to work out the bugs...Doug(IIC)

I have worked it out. I though all afternoon after Lye's post commending my efforts about how am I going to do this and then I saw that Rob had emailed me and I am now going to use his sheet. Everything is going to be ok in POTWland. Rob has surely developed a spreadsheet that basically takes care of itself for the week. Truly amazing.
Anyway back to what we're here for. Pete and his pick BRLC came out of nowhere to snatch victory from the grasp of Peanuts and NBB who were locked in a .01 % battle for 2nd and 3rd places this week. The WhizKid and Karel filling out the top five.

Nice scoresheet Ski...But I'm sorry you came in last.

Congrats to Peter on the earnings play.

Congrats to Peanuts on the "gutsy" SIM short.

Congrats to NBB on the guidance play.

Yea, it wasn't my fault. I had to do the POTW spreadsheet all week and couldn't spend anytime watching my POTW picks. I should get a 12 % one time allocation for administrative duties. The sheet was brought to you by Spreadsheets by Rob. Anything you need in an operational spreadsheet. I won't be coming in last when, as the scorekeeper and rule monger, I award myself the administrative allowance.

                      • Last Place

Seems like I should've been in last place 'cause I don't even know how to play this game. I just picked eBay at the beginning of the week and let it ride all week long.

That's my dog in puppy prison for going after a pit bull and a doberman at obedience school. She weighed 12 pounds . The dobe weighed over 100 and the pit bull about 75. You should see her run when they turned on her.
