Rob,
I like you. I think your work on POTW was outstanding.
You aren't going to get everyone to agree with you. Not with the cussing, not with any justification of actions. It is my opinion that your best course of action is to do what you feel is right and do what you want to do to contribute to something that is bigger than any of its parts (this forum). I would respect any decision that you make, but you're fooling yourself if you think that anyone feels that they owe you anything in return for your contributions. There are those that give and those that take. Those that take should be grateful, but those that give should not do so for want of gratitude. You'll always be disappointed in the results.
I hope you stick around, because I am very grateful for all the great things you do: the handy-dandy Fibancci retracement worksheet, the revenue and earnings growth charts, the POTW tracking write-up and participation, your "Rob's Lobs" thread... dude, it's all great stuff and I miss it.
The thing is, is that I thought that what Ski did was HUGE of himself. And I am very grateful to him as well. I rather enjoyed the learning process that we could all see him going through, because it added that realism to the thread. I mean, here's a guy that DOESN'T really know all the stuff about Excel that some of us do, yet he was willing to put himself up there, errors and all, for OUR benefit. And this guy has a family and intense job to worry about...
He lifted me up because of what he did, not what he said. I have always been a firm believer in the old saying, "Actions speak louder than words"
I think your future actions will show all the doubters more than what you can say with the keyboard. Take my philosophy... slap them in the face with the results
The ball is really in your court, not the people that say harsh things
