FDG is going to announce their divy tomorrow. That should boost the stock price. Be aware that there is strong resistance at $44.75 or so. Look at my chart on the post to BillyJoe just about 5 posts previous to this one.

      New-born,
BURN MORE COAL ! I'm in FDG. Actually I've been bullish on coal for some time, just never did anything about it.

My daughter put a little fire pit on the back patio for weenie roasts, marshmallows etc.with her friends. A friend and I bought some land that ran along the railroad tracks and the friend dug up a bunch of coal from the yard. This may have been there from a derailment years ago. My wife thought it was charcoal and used it to start the fire on a very hot breezy night this summer. The fumes blew right into the bedroom window and talk about second hand smoke.I think that experience subconsciously kept me out of coal until now.

          Billy,
Good for you. Now we want to do a couple of things here:
          1. Watch the divy announcement tomorrow. $1.40 or more is good; less is bad. If less, sell the calls to protect yourself.
          2. But I really expect $1.40 or more. And then we want to watch for the heavy resistance at $45. I'll be looking to take profits there, and if so, will give you a shout.

I see you are using the Gann Fan. How do you like it?
I do see that the NAZ is right up against resistance. And this monthly also agrees with the weekly and daily: up against resistance. I am looking for a pullback and retest of the resistance at 2278. I don't think NAZ will take out resistance, but that's just my thinking. What else can you point out to us about your chart?

New Born....(PAY) is undervalued and the chart looks as if it may be a time to jump in? Any thoughts on this one?

                Pete,
Pay looks like it has excellent potential. If you enter now, note that you have resistance at $25. If that $25 resistance can be taken out, we are looking at $27.50+ for the next target. Good volume the last three days. Yesterday's pullback was normal in that the day before it gapped up, and Monday you simply had profit taking to fill the gap. Today's action was nice. I can see an entry here and ride her to $25, or more if the situation warrants.

                • NB, not sure about Gann, I attached fib fans to the chart, as I believe support and resistance does not always travel in a horizontal line. This chart looks confusing but It is simple, From peak to trough. Notice how we have an intercepting line at current price. I view this as a major test of this area. Now a move above this is extremely bullish and a move below indicates the market running out of gas..

I expect more chop and drop here at current levels. But this is just my take. Not sure if my logic makes any sense or if any data supports my theory. I would use caution here at these levels on the long side of the market. I do think your energy sectors may grow legs here and depress other sectors (retail), but ya know as always we shall see..

Many people got all bulled up over the last few weeks and this may have pushed us out of balance and so now it could be possible IMO of a retest of the Sept highs.

I'll post chart later because imageshack not working.

                    Hey NB!

Haven't submitted a Hot Pick of the Day for a while.

Here's one that is ripe for the picking right here at current prices of 43.00 to 43.20. Stop over high of day for great r/r target of mid 30's.

I highly favor SPNC right now, i.e., TODAY. Look at those STOs. This stock has been running very hard, and bam!, a super high volume breakout of its trading range. Its moving higher.

SPNC has gapped up on huge volume. IMHO, it will be a runaway gap (at least for awhile). I think it is a good time to jump on board and ride the train. The stock has been running for six weeks (STOs). I think I like this one far and away better than SYNC. That flagpole says she is going to run to near $15 or more.
                          BILLY-LINK for SPNC:

SYNC: that flat base with no price change for 10 trading days scares me. I've never seen something like that before. I do like flat bases, but that one is wierd. Ask Spike for his opinion.

                          LYE-LINK on SYNC:

Say it ain't so. Shortage of tires will restrict coal shipments in 2006 and 2007. FDG will distribute c1.60 per share to holders as of Dec.30th> What is that in U.S.? News doesn't sound good to me ,but often bad news is good in the market and good news is bad.

That $1.36 divy will cover your mistake, won't it? Or how about selling the calls to cover your position? Actually it might be a good buying opportunity.
$1.36X4=$5.44 divy per share. On a stock trading $38, that makes a 14.3% divy.

The March 2006 $40 call sells for $1.75 right now. And the at-the-money $38.375 Mar 06 calls will net you $2.30 right now. And you'd collect the divies, too. I think we are alright. I am not moving anywhere. Buy some more

I'm not worried as long as she stabilizes without another big drop. My cost ave. is 39.61. How can there be a tire shortage in this day and age?I don't buy it. Especially one that can effect business in both '06 and '07.
