I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. pnf charts from stock charts nb...im finding candlesticks alot more reliable...those pnf charts....usually they dont reach the targets they say on them...if Talx holds the 50 day which im thinking it will if the market cooperates is going alot higher.
all the best NB
Yes, I sorta agree with you. PnF are not always reliable, but at least you have an idea from them if the chart is bearish in the eyes of Mr. Dow himself. I give him credit for being a better judge than I.
I do appreciate your posts. I'll look at all that you throw up on the board.
Ninner,
Lets's see what you've got in the bag here . . . .
I do like the fact that your entry seems to be at a good time: STOs like it here along with the RSI, and $17+change is right at support. Excellent entry, my man!
Even Mr. Dow likes this one with a bullish chart looking for $36. . . .
but first it has to clear resistance at $20.50 and $23.
interesting it formed a doji on the 20 day today so we will see where it opens and moves on tuesday...probably will depend on the market....but i think KEYW might be at a bottome based on those long red candles in the oversold area...looks to me like panic selling..which usually mark bottoms in stocks and now some bullish candles.
KEYW retraced 38.2% of its decline between 4/26 and 5/17. If the trend is still bearish it could rise as high as the 50% retracement level, around 19.80, without a change in trend.
NB GW seems to be coming off a low ...... this stock appears to move up and down in waves......looks as if an upswell is in motion.........any thoughts on this GREY WOLF.....seems like ready to jump?

Peter:
Checking out the charts on GW . . . lots to consider.
1. Friday's action a black, gapping candle. What does that tell me? A lot of people bargain hunting are jumping in, and a lot of people who were stuck overhead were jumping off. Bearish . . . .
2. PnF is not sufficiently convinced--$4 target. Yeah, these PnF can be wrong, and they can be slow, but still, think about it.
3. Did you notice that the 10 day was below the 50 day which was below the 200 day? That doesn't encourage me.
4. The only encouraging thing I see is that the STOs say--on the daily; they disagree on the weekly--that this could be a bottom.
Where do you want GW to take you? Have a target? Plan?
It just doesn't jump off the screen to me as a bullish baby; I could be wrong.
Thanks for asking about it. Sorry if I discouraged you . . . .
Thanks NBB. I just saw your reply to me regarding buying GLD on the TSX. I appreciate the clarity of it. I was making it much more difficult for myself.
thanks. again.

Did you see the bearish action today? I hope you avoided this one . . . .
New-born,
One of your least favorite stocks (GM) has just announced sales far worse than expected. I think the fairy tale ending is over.

Sales are not helped by all the talk going on right now. It doesn't give a person confidence in the product if you keep talking bankruptcy. I think it is almost time for the union to ask for another $5/hour raise.
