Ernie Kovacs was married to Edie Adams. He was a great comic. I remember his show. He would do a number of skits and made a few of his characters famous. He played a jazz musician called "Kool Cees", who wore glasses that were about 1" thick, and then there was the Narobi Five, who were a group of apes or Urangatangs that played music. Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca were married. He had a show that was much like the Ernie Kovacs show where he did a number of skits together with Imogene. He was one of the funniest guys around an I loved him in that movie Mad World. They did divorce and still performed together. She also was a great comedian and funny as they came. She had that ability to make you laugh by with just her expression. Thanks Gator. I wouldn't have slept tonight trying to remember Sid Caesars name. Gator do you agree that the woman is Imogene Coca? She wasn't in It's a Mad World.

Ernie got me started smoking White Owl cigars. They were excellent. That was, of course, before we realized they were not exactly good for us.

They were his sponsor for years. Boy this is going back a long way. Kovacs always had a big cigar in his hand. Funny guy.

            Worth a long right here

NSS is definitely worth a long right here.

I hope you're right, because I've picked up a few share at $55 like I posted on Dr. Jack's thread. I've been holding on tightly since the end of Dec in my LT account. I picked up more in my MT account as my ST account is maxed out with just 3 stocks!

I am curious why $$$ Mr Market $$$ decided not to include NSS in his Independence Day top 5...

                Probably because . . . .

Probably because these others had better looking fundamentals, i.e., higher projected growth over the next 4 qtrs., or some such factor.

Not one of the top five have an option chain; I won't be buying any of them unless I see some kind of a daytrade that presents itself. On the other hand, I'll probably pick up some NSS. But even NSS's option chain is weak.

                Here's Spike's top ten:
FAL, LBIX, FTO, EGY, CHRW, ADS, TXU, GRMN, CELG AND LVS

Today EGY took a 10%+ hit when it was downgraded.

                  Parl

Yes, Lyebaby, PARL may bounce very soon. Looking like Paris may get PARL to bounce around $9. What's the name of that stinkin' perfume she sells?

NBB, I'm not kidding when I say the best thing that could happen to ImClone would be for Sam Waksal to be released from prison and reinstated as CEO. I do not know, however, whether he would be legally allowed to resume that position even if they freed him tomorrow. The current management and (lack of) leadership of the company are among its largest liabilities. Also, they have a dreadful partnership with Bristol-Myers Squibb for marketing Erbitux. While the terms of the partnership are actually pretty good, it appears that BMS is really dragging its feet on its end of the wagon, and from all outward appearances the relationship between the two companies is strained at best. ImClone is sitting on some of the most promising science in modern cancer research seemingly without a clue as to how to maximize their opportunity. This makes it ripe for the plucking for someone like Carl Icahn, and the company will probably be sold very soon. Some say $55; others, $70+. Phase III data on some new molecules are due out in the 2nd half this year, which have the potential of greatly enhancing the company's value.

Thanks for your post. I didn't have the faintest idea who Sam Waskal was. This I know: he would be barred by the SEC from ever running a company again, unless it is ghost management. So you can forget that.

What you can remember is that the chart is saying IMCL is moving higher. It doesn't tell you why, but for my money, it says that someone is accumulating shares, and that the chart is bullish enough to say, "Hey, buy me!"

Well, if you go to google his name, make sure you spell it Waksal and not Waskal. You will likely turn up more info.

Chartist really don't care . . . but here's something we care about: this chart!
Since IMCL has such a nice option chain, it makes for a good play.

I Like IMCL here too NBB & Rob.... I've been watching the Biotech's as a group and there are several that are sitting up nicely to break out I think.

Maybe Rockin'Rob could do one of those "mass chart posts" on the Biotech Group. btw Rob, I think weekly charts are better to pick up on a trend.jejeje.... ALSO post the TRIX and Volume.... And get me a cup of coffee too. SssssssSsssssSssssss!

I'll take a C2 Coke with lots of ice, and make my steak well done. Don't forget the A-1. You wouldn't happen to have a pillow for my head, would you?
