That's the term here in WI/N. IL. Down South they are all called "Coke."

I'd consider shorting XMSR should it rise back to the 50DMA.

"Pop" is also the term used in the Mpls./St. Paul area. I lived there in parts of '73, '74 & '75. Did my junior year in high school there—at Rosemount High School. I just looked up my name in their "alumni search," and I don't show up. I guess their database doesn't include those in the covered wagon days.

AMLN recovered and has now again formed another bear pattern with the same $39 target. I think she breaks the neck and heads for home, myself. At least I am going to play AMLN short.

            Here's the daily:
AMLN broke the neck this morning. Looking for $39.

And you can't even trade options on it! All the options chains are closed! What a piece of junk!

Yes, I thought I'd sell some uncovered calls and buy some puts. All option markets on HANS are closed. Even this months calls--closed.

Well, shoot. If they close the options on it, all the momo traders are going to bail. No wonder HANS is tanking big-time!

                        Amln

I recommended AMLN short. As soon as AMLN opened today, I bought the $45 AUG PUTs at $1.65 per contract. I also sold some $45 AUG and $45 JAN naked calls. I covered the puts at $2.85 near the close. I missed my shot at covering at $3.20, and decided not to hold through tomorrow even though AMLN has got a lot more room to fall. I am looking for that $39 marker minimum, and maybe even $34. I guess I'll take my $120 per contract and go home. The calls I also covered as I will be away from the computer later this week and did not want to leave myself open to any surprizes.

                          cheers

Congrats to you, Ninner! I think it stinks that the options chains were all closed today. You couldn't get out or in if you wanted to. I call that crooked, and it is the first time I have ever seen such a thing in the market. Sure, it saved the broker, but it had to cost a lot of people a lot of dough, too. Imagine if you had SOLD a put! For $100 or so, you locked yourself into buying this stock.

AMLN may fall further tomorrow, I don't know. I am expecting HANS to make some type of bounce soon before proceeding further down the pipe.

                            Best to ya, Ninner!

Yes, it has more to fall. I target it at $9 minus, while the PnF says $7. Short it
