I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Thanks Runner. I just figured out from this that I might be shorting THC sometime soon. I think that shorting the weakest stocks in the weakest sectors is going to be the best strategy next week. I'm going to make a small play on that idea, most likely in THC

Rob,
I know you believe the Bible, just like I do. I believe every word. Yes, I am a Teatotaler, and the reasons are these:
1. I admit that the Bible talks about the use of wine. However, it is not the same wine that we use today. What has happened since Bible times is the modern distillation process which significantly increases the amount alcohol per serving. Alcohol content of Bible wines was about 3% (I'll have to double check this). Alcohol content of today's wine is 7-14%; fortified wines are 14-24%; Beer is "only" 3-4%; whiskey is 40-75% alcohol; Rum--up to 95% alcohol.
2. Bible wines were "mixed wines," i.e., mixed with water. For example, read Proverbs 9:2 and you can easily see that "wisdom has mixed her wine." Extant literature tells us that people used to mix 4 or 5 parts of water with one part of wine. People who wanted to get drunk mixed one part water with one part wine. Of course, no one that I know mixes any water with wine today. So the alcohol content is again significantly more than that of Bible wines.
I think you are mistaking "proof" with "percentage".... 90 proof distilled beverage contains only 45% alcohol....
If I'm not mistaken the wine Jesus made from water was very fine and certainly not watered down and the guests at the wedding commented on it's fine quality.... Hey, If the water was indeed "bad" in Bible times, then why would you screw up perfectly good wine by mixing bad water in it? .... Why not just drink less? I know of people who drink light beer (low alcohol content per ounce) and they stay drunk much of the time.
Did you know that most whiskey drinkers mix it with cola, ginger ale or even water?.... It's not the % of alcohol in the drink that matters.... It's how much self control one demonstrates when partaking of an adult beverage.... That's why the Bible condemns drunkenness and not moderate drinking.
That said; if it hurts your conscience to drink an alcoholic beverage or you're afraid of getting drunk and thus sinning.... then by all means you should abstain.
It is safe to say that URZ has put in some kind of a bottom, but whether or not it is "the" bottom I cannot say. Note that it bumped its head up against resistance today, and pulled back. The daily says it is time to join the action; the weekly says "this may be worth a long here." I would say take URZ long is she can bust the $2 resistance, set a stop around $1.89, and target $2.50. That's $.50 reward for $.11 risk, or about 4:1, which is the minimum.
Hey NB, here's the weekly fuzzy for URZ I just did. I like the reaction so far this week to 'c' failure....if it can close at these levels or higher, that's a very bullish setup. Hard stop under the 'c' though.
Those other charts I posted for URZ show that it's facing some resistance around $2.40-$2.50, so I think your target is a good one.
Personally, I like better r/r, so for me I'd pass on this long setup and wait for the 2 corrective and risk 4% or better to target 5 impulses up to $3.20.....or another option is to wait for any 'c' failure and target $1.00.

Hi, Lye.
Thanks for the counterpoint.
1. Here is the link from which I got the % alcohol content. It says I am correct (as least as far as I am able to understand). I am no expert on alcoholic drinks. http://www.upei.ca/~stuserv/alcohol/alcoholcontent1.htm
2. I do understand that "proof" = 1/2% alcohol by content. You make a good point in that sometimes people do not understand that 180 proof = 90% alcohol content.
3. Does alcoholic content make the drink taste extra good? Your comment about Jesus' wine would imply that His wine tasted extra good because it had more alcohol in it. That is a point I would not be willing to concede. I am willing to admit that the guests did say it tasted better than what they had been drinking at the dinner
Thanks again, Lye, and God bless you and yours (including the little Lyehopper).
NB Thanx ...for the commentary and great historical picture ....I may just play all 3 CVGR ATCO and CCUR ........small positions with STOP losses of course !
I think I have a hot one for the day: SGP reported great revenues and a new drug has just been aquired from Santarus (SNTS). It looks like a bounce off of its 13 DMA, and a fundamental reversal of corporate performance (this is a turnaround story) I think that the emotional aspects of the report may boost the price at least 2 points today. What do you think? Will the recent high of $23.22 be tested and broken?

Who knows? Looking at weekly chart we have a topping tail. Looks like a strong pullback candidate. The daily shows a black candle: lots of selling, bears whipping bulls right now. Perhaps the bulls can get it together. I myself would wait for a breakout at $23.22. If that happens, it is a runner, IMO.
New born,
what does PACT look like for TA, looks to me like it jsut had a pullback, bounced off resistence, and will continue moving upward.
WHat is your opinion on this?
thanks
