Yes and no. I take quick daily gains on some stocks, but I have investments in Canada that I let ride. I currently own only Viking Energy Trust in Canada on the Toronto Stock Exchange. What happened is that about 10 days ago I sold off all my positions on the expectation of a pullback in the market. I am set to re-enter the market next week when I get a break to do so (I have a lot of obligations on my plate right now).

Why don't you buy PMT.UN? I love the PMT! Made some real good change off of her, and am looking to re-enter here soon.

By the way, where in Canada? B.C.? Calgary?

why i like TOL and not worried at the moment

just taking into account price and volume action....look as the the price has dipped here....in general the volume has decreased....that is telling me that selling is slowing down here which is a good sign and worth holding !! I live in Victoria BC on the island...very pretty here. I will take a look at that symbol!!

                  Ninner,
Was curious about the scan that turned up HTRN on your screen. What were the parameters you had plugged in on that scan?

Ninner...I don't like the Homes and RE groups...but then again...I didn't like them last year either...I just think the bubble has to burst...but I have no idea when it will be...Sorry...I just don't have a good feel for the group short term...although I am confident that we will see some MAJOR corrections...sometime???

No, I wasn't going in that direction. That scan should provide you with a group of good if not great stocks. Whether they are setting up to go off is another question. I was just interested in the one stock in your list of six. HTRN. That's a strong scan and produces a list of strong stocks to fit those parameters. Any stocks out of it should be pretty decent issues.
Just for the hell of it what is your opinion of HTRN?

                              Doug,

How long did it take to burst the tech bubble? Three years? I forgot. But it did come, and it was ugly when it came. NAZ lost 90% of its value. That is what I call UGLY. The last time that happened was the Great Depression and Stock Market collapse of 1929-1938. Fell from 382 down to 34. UGH!

I really don't know...but I never got into the dotcom thing...If I knew what I knew today...I would've short term...But I didn't...I traded a lot of software and related tech stuff...but no REAL dotcoms....My faves that I traded a lot from late '98 to early '00 were CREE and FLEX.

But I do remember 1987...I was a Die Hard Canslimmer back then...I was in cash by early September...WON called it right back then.
