  • AAPL and WCC, applying MACD

I am learning all I can and trying to take my charting skills to new levels, Cabin fever has truly set in!!

Anyway a couple stocks I noticed and am wondering what some others may think:

AAPL- although the stock is reaching new highs, The MACD is not, its going down. Could this be due just to low volume & correction of the overall market? or is it really losing steam?

WCC(was an IBD 100 for a short time, i think last june) - Quiet old faithfull! It just keeps on keeping on, quietly hitting new highs, plowing cash back in, issueing new stock, Its MACD is still hitting new highs.

Just wondering what others may see in the charts of these stock examples.
Just discussion for educational purposes would be welcome.

Thanks, I am somewhat new to this site but am becoming and more impressed with the people here everyday.

I could be wrong but I think both stocks are extended to far for me to consider a buy. AAPL gave buy signals @ green arrows. I personally would wait for it to pull back, Ive been burned buying stocks to far extended in the past, but who really knows?

      Apple

APPLE SURE TO GO UP JUST ANNOUNCED THREE iMPROVED HIGH PREFORMANCE NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS, BUT THINK I WOULD WAIT FOR THE MARKET TO CHANGE AND GET OUT OF THIS CORRECTION. WCC LOOKS ALITTLE EXTENDED.

Agreed, I was thinking aapl looks a little dangerous and needing a correction. Just in looking at the macd charts its looking tired, but then volume to the upside on most stocks has been down since the week of xmas.

I have been in and out of wcc a few times, I'll make 10% sell then it goes up everytime. If I would have just stayed with it I would have beat most of my other stock picks, But thats Hind sight so I shouldn't go there!

I can’t tell ya how many positions I’ve messed up on buying in too late!! Looks good and yes it is up today, but I’d let it come on down.

Apple is a long-term play. I am 100% invested in them.
