I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Pedro in game #1 on Wednesday. If Wakefield or D-Lowe can wine one of the next 2 games, then we get Pedro again at Fenway in game 4 to wrap up the series.
I like my chances.

Here's a crap shoot - I can get four tickets to any one of the Red Sox home playoff games - which one do I pick? Game 7 of the World Series is the longest shot, but it's the big payoff. Imagine bringing three (out of 4) kids to game 7? Or, I could take Oakland Game 3 or 4 (Game 4 might not happen, for good or bad reasons). I'm inclined to take the first home game of the World Series. What would you do?

Like I predicted, I think Game 4 closes the 1st series with Pedro on the hill...would be highly entertaining.
Personally, I'd hold out for the Yankees series although you made no mention of them.

I decided to take game 6 of the World Series, first because getting to the Series is as good as it gets, and second on the theory that it wouldn't end in 5 so I would probably get to the game, and I could possibly see them win it all. Somebody else got game 6, so I took game 2, hoping to see Pedro, not having faith that it would get to a 7th game.
Great idea to take your kids to Game 6 of the World Series! I would suggest however, that you book your hotel rooms in advance, as hotels in the tri-state area will be swamped by people going to the Yankee Stadium affair. What you may want to do is stay over a couple of days: you can take in "No, No, Nannette" on Broadway, see the Babe Ruth Memorial at Yankee Stadium (you can take a tour of the stadium before the game), go to a pitching clinic by Sparky Lyle, talk to current Yankee farm club manager Bucky Dent about shortstop play and the homerun he hit in 1978 to win the pennant for the Bronx Bombers, and go to the Museum of Broadcasting (TV and Radio) in the city to view the 1986 World Series between the Mets and Red Sox to get a feel of the stadium where Bruce Sprinsteen is playing (take note Red Sox fans of the venue---when you see Springsteen, he may well be in the same area as Jessie Orosco clinching that Series!). Any extra time would be well spent going to Blockbuster and renting ALL the videos of Red Sox World Series Championships since 1919---it would be the most economical move a person could make!
Hey Ernie, I really feel bad for your Red Sox. [or as they are known in my famiglia as the Stinky Sox] Did Mr. Steingrabber make up the playoff schedule? I mean the Sox played a night game into extra innings followed by an afternoon game? What a shame.. On the other hand , today's Yankees will be fresh and Andy Petite is ready!
I don't follow baseball, much less the Red Sox, but I heard Billy Crystal on the radio this morning saying that if the Red Sox and the Cubs both make it to the series, it could be the first time in history that nobody wins it.
Anyone want to bet that Grady Little does not make it back as manager next year! The Red Sox vs. Cubs; it would have been a dream series. Who wants to see the Yankees battle the Marlins, for the love of God!
Very few give the Marlins a chance against the Yankees. That's how it has been all year though. No respect. The Phillies thought they would win the Wild Card spot. The Giants thought they would take the Divisional Series. The Cubs thought they take the NLCS. The Marlins are in the World Series.
Is there another miracle about to happen? I don't know, but having the Yankees overconfident is good thing. The Yankees are supposed to win. With a payroll three times that of Florida, the Yankees had better win.
Our best chance is to take the Series to a 7th game. The Yankees have lost three of their last four WS Game #7s. Rivera can be beaten in the 9th. Just ask Luis Gonzalez.
