Just a thought on a possible scenario. If it were to bottom out at around 10 or 11 that would probably get the short-term guys excited at that price. Big upside from there vs lower risk at that point.

        FORD's FUTURE:

Here's two charts on FORD. BEARISH, to say the least.

First, the weekly for the last 52.
Please not that the weekly suggests that FORD may move up a little. She's setting up for a small bounce. And that is not good news at all. Why?
        Check out the daily.

Now the daily for the last 90.

Note that if FORD bounces a little bit, then that will complete the complex
shoulder/shoulder/head/shoulder/shoulder. Should that happen, FORD looks to take a dump on the scale of that other famed flame-out stock:

        (Drum roll please!)

        ESMC!

(Much applause, shouting, and tears of joy).

If you are buying her right now, it is for nostalgic reasons, not for what the chart says.

Hey, has Jim Cramer recommended her yet?

DMK, don't count on it. Lots of fresh meat out there (VPHM is the best example)

told ya! just too bad I didn't take my own advice

Today FORD went to a new 52-week high and broke its all time volume record.

Will be watching for a pull back buy

FORD is now #1 on IBD, another breakout?

FORD is the new #1 on IBD, with a debut of 99,99 (highest possible rating).

So, the chart folks - any ideas where it might head up to? Looks to me like $29-$30 is a reality...

                        All opinions APPRECIATED!

My opinion is that IBD will bring more players to the game, both long and short. It probably will hit $29-30 this week, but will also likely drop back down to $25 or lower. Just a lot more increased volatility is what I'd expect, not knowing anything about the company itself...

Well, my opinion here isn't worth much I guess, but hey, you asked for it!

Geez!!!!...Do I have to teach these JOKERS at IBD how to play Canslim again???

FORD...I liked it...I traded it a few times...I made some bux on it overall...But heck...I thought Canslim says watch out for a 4th stage base!!!!!!!

If you follow Canslim...you are out now...a'la CYD circa late 2003...Who the heck called the CYD disaster???...I emailed them and never got a response...I even sent them the EPS which they said was not available because it was not a U.S. company...So it goes from # 1 to off the charts that week...I'll tell you one thing...I may not be the BEST trader around...But I sure as heck know Canslim theory better than anyone at IBD...at least anyone I ever came in contact with!

IIC, where do you see four bases? I only see the following proper bases I can count--the one from which it broke out in the end of 2004 (1st-stage base) and the last one that lasted 6-weeks since June 17 (2nd-stage base). In my view, it's now only a 2nd-stage for FORD.

If you count bases according to IBD rule then you should "make sure that a stock has run up at least 30% from its prior pivot point" and "don't count a correction of 10% to about 20% as a base". And you should probably consider that FORD is a too volatile stock for these averages.
