    Berkshire Hathaway

I was just going to ask if anyone owns this stock and was planning on attending the meeting this weekend in my hometown? I don't know if much comes out of it but it sure would be nice to hear Warren Buffett speak. Do any of you use some of his policies when investing? I like most of his ideas about value but feel its a little harder to find stocks that fit his criteria. Oh well just getting some thoughts from you guys.

I think he is a loser. He cheated on his wife and ignored his kids.

Thats a harsh statement, theres prob more to the story then we read in the papers. Dont believe everything the media tells you Mr. M; Or else you could end up picking more stocks like BEL.

I am entitled to my opinion. I think he's a loser. If any of my kids grew up to be like Warren Buffet, I'd be tremendously disappointed.

I couldn't agree more. Anyone who cheats on his wife and ignores his kids is a moron. Warren Buffet may have money, but that doesn't make him a rich man in my book.

Ask Warren why he left his wife for his mistress. Ask him how many Little League games he saw his kids play in.

                The Warren Buffet way:

His relationship with his wife was weird to say the least. She has since passed on:

Susie moved out shortly after the couple's 25th wedding anniversary. She even set her husband up with other women, including Astrid Menks, a waitress at the French Cafe who ended up moving in and still lives with Buffett. While Susie and Warren remain close, Astrid is his daily companion, though Susie still accompanies him on trips to New York and California and sits on Berkshire's board. Susie and Astrid are friends; they send presents to relatives from "Warren, Susie and Astrid."
                His children are not spoiled:

Critical of the self-indulgence of the super-rich, Buffett thinks of inheritances as "privately funded food stamps" that keep children of the rich from leading normal, independent lives. With his own three kids, he gave them each $10,000 a year -- the tax-deductible limit -- at Christmas. When he gave them a loan, they had to sign a written agreement. When his daughter, also named Susie like her mother, needed $20 to park at the airport, he made her write him a check for it.

I'd like a source on all of this info. Some rich people don't spoil their kids in order to make them learn more about money rather than be dependent.

Didn't Bruce cheat as well ?

                        MM,

Agree with your thoughts on Warren. But didn't Bruce leave his wife for a singer in his band ??
