I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Register for free and you'll be able to post messages on this forum and also receive emails when $$$ MR. MARKET $$$ makes his own trades. ($$$MR. MARKET$$$ is a proprietary investor and does not provide individual financial advice. The stocks mentioned on this forum do not represent individual buy or sell recommendations and should not be viewed as such. Individual investors should consider speaking with a professional investment adviser before making any investment decisions.)

This interests me. Are you able to measure that in some way, or is it pure gut feel speculation?
Good luck this week.
If you asking for a solid measurement of who were short and where. The answer would be no. I could go into a speech about how I know what's what and so on, but it can be seen as speculation to some traders. So, lets just say its my humble opinon and leave it at that.

Come on mtm, don't be coy Obviously I wan't asking for a solid measurement; if we knew such things there wouldn't be a market. But it interested me that you said it with such conviction. How do you speculatively measure it?
I would also like to see how you substantiate how and why you feel as you do when you make such a authoratative remark. As far as PTMK is concerned, I've been of the mindset that the more times they bang up against resistance they will eventually break that resistance. I really like the heavy volume that has been coming into PTMK of late an took a position in it this morning at 8.87. Only a half position of 1000 shares. I like the stock long at this point.
Skiracer, I am glad you like it so much that you wanted to buy it.
First off it was a short idea for a possible "swing". If your TA experience tells you something different that is what makes you the trader you are. We all are not the same traders and do not follow the same techniques. If the books you read tell you something and you agree then thats your choice.
We all have different ideas, interpretations, strategies and so on. I am sorry I don't have the time to get into a who' wrong and who's right discussion.
I respect your opinions, but we obviously have different trading styles and perceptions of the market.
If you read my first post, I believe that explains what to expect and follow for this thread.
I'm not trying to give you a hard time. Only trying to understand another's reasoning behind his selections. I'm basically a swing trader but when the shoe fits that's what I am. I'm more into building an increasing capital from the use of my capital.
I'm certainly not trying to edge you into a debate or anything like that. The proof is in the final results and I have my share of losing trades as I'm sure you do to. I just like to see it explained, like the guy from Missouri said, you have to show me. You should throw a couple of these stronger picks of your into our little stock picking weekly contest.
I know you not trying to start a debate. I am also not interested in a competition for I have nothing to prove, just posting for those who may need help with some ideas. If I was to explain everything to the T about my trades I would put us all to sleep!
