Actually, Altavista's "babelfish" is the original, and arguably better translator (it even will do Chinese, Korean, and Japanese). BTW, does anyone know of a free translator that'll do Czech?

And Dictionary.com will give you an adequate definition of "Quoits":

The world's leading online dictionary: English definitions, synonyms, word origins, example sentences, word games, and more. A trusted authority for 25+ years!

Using Italian was appropriate for this term, since its derivation is ultimately Latin from the word "culcita," meaning "cushion," and therefore is pronounced "kwoits" or "koits."

Sounds like a lot of fun:

I'd be there if I lived in New Jersey.

I work in a prison enviroment where it is quite common to use four letter words to get your point across to convicted felons. They seem to understand you better when you direct lot's of foul language towards them.

But I must realize that I am not at the prison, therefore, I have edited my posts and replaced all possibly improper words with the word Vulcan. It seems to be an appropriate substitute.

I'm certain that Jiesen (San Diego) will back me (Los Angeles) up here, but, where I live, I listen to enough Espanol and other foreign languages. Well, then again, there Doug (also LA) is participating

This sounds like a fun time and for a good cause. Maybe we should plan a Mr Market fundraiser one day. I'm sure we could find a good charity to donate to.

According to the Worldwatch Institute, there are 6,800 languages spoken in the world today...and even though there are only 300 people that still speak Ega...Chances are I might run into one of them in my neighborhood...And of course I want to be prepared in case they drop by and are in a chatty mood.

Doug, if 300 people speak Ega, I would bet that at least 200 of them live in Los Angeles, so, I like your plan of being well-prepared
