Ladies and Gentlemen: I set up a hypothetical AOL account with with 2 portfolios, each with 500 K ,using closing prices on 7/22/05. 500K was placed into KBH and 500K in the other portfolio split evenly between BMHC,ELOS,HOV, KBH, and MTH. On the close of 8/1/05 the portfolios were worth.... KBH ONLY portfolio LOSS of $11,694.63 (-2.34) and the The group of FIVE portfolio as follows, BMHC +$664.77, ELOS +$6798.55, HOV -$1781.40, KBH -$2347.71, MTH +$9894.87 for a total gain of $13222.03 +2.65%. What does all this prove?....probably not much , as the time period was extremely short. It may indicate that diversity could be the way to go?

I don't think you can base this on a singe instance, the rule of thumb is the more safer you want to be the more diversified you need to be but then again if you're very diversified you probably will not make much $$$...

Id follow the thread.....
All prices used were the close prices on 7/22/05 and 8/1/05. I am not sure what Mr M paid. I did this to be consistent. I will do it for the next data dump! The August Data Dump!

I've actually made out pretty well on a few of these "not quite $$MM" picks- NGPS RRGB ACRG.OB come to mind, but I've bought a couple others as well...
