    The Perseids Top 5

I just got back from Del Friscos. Big steak dinner with Spanky, Smells and Bear. Not a lot of time for analysis of these 5, but I'll buy one of these on Wednesday Aug 10..which one do you like, and why?

    Go FORD

    Earnings, Earnings, Earnings! Go Ford.
Very positive Net Capital Asset Value!
    Positive Free Cash Flow.

It's in Florida! You gotta love it.

I didn't realize that banks are on a roll now. Rising interest rates, I guess. Gotta go with the flow.

Of those I like CIB the best, but I also liked KOMG. Just curious, $$MM, but where did KOMG rank? Did you cut it because of the wild earnings swing from 02-03? Or is there something Yahoo! isn't telling me about KOMG?

It lost money in 2002. Is that relevant? Maybe not but when you have other stocks of companies that have been consistently profitable to choose from, I'd rather stay away from the money losers. Other than that, KOMG looks terrific.

          I'm a FORD man - Tim.

There are 7 million shares outstanding and 2 million of them are short.
This stock is really thin and will take us for a wild rollercoaster ride.

              Cib 4me!

CIB has highest Stock Scores.com numbers.........98 & 82 and has a nice chart. MTH got lowest scores 67 & 74........frankly, I think Building Stox have "Shot there Load"........ at least for now! CNBC says housing market is trending down, and now is time to sell and 1 year from now time to buy! Vector Vest also says CIB is undervalued with a fair price at $25 dollars and change

Why is CIB better than BBD?

Because this wouldn't happen in Colombia:

Just kidding- the real reasons are that CIB is on a steeper trajectory right now, going up every day, and it's also growing earnings faster, paying a better dividend, and starting smaller- so it has more room to grow.

Am I the first ever to get a double ?? for my awesome pick of PTEN? If so I take it as a compliment and I still like PTEN. My reasons are neither technical nor fundamental.

Actually, it didn't make it past my first r^2 screen. Historically, I have been putting the members picks automatically into the 2nd round but somehow PTEN slipped through the cracks. Better luck next time.

Jumped in the water with you guys...

Hi all, I'm a newbie to your site. I spent a lot of time going over past picks and couldn't believe the results. ( 73 profitable trades is more than just luck ) Anyway, I love the site and hope to be around for a long time. I had looked into CIB a short time ago and really liked the write-up by Mr Market. Needless to say, I bought and am hoping this turns into profitable trade #74. I also like the Ernie's homepage which goes into detail on how to screen stocks. It is nice to find a stock picking site where the members are more interested in picking stocks than they are in picking on each other.
