    PKS (six flags) possibilities

I know amusement parks are facing troubling times. High gas prices , dwindling disposable income etc. , but there may be money to be made on this one. Operating 39 amusement and water parks in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe PKS is overextended sitting on a mountain of debt. Although they actually made money last quarter, their long term outlook is bleak. Having sold the former Geauga Lake Park to Cedar Fair (FUN) for pennies on the dollar several months ago, they've got problems and probably will be acquired by a competitor. Priced under 7 , a buyout could bring about a quick profit for
shareholders. If they remain independent this baby will be going down the toilet
within the next 12 months. In a last ditch effort to hang on they just announced plans for a world record sized roller coaster "Goliath", in Georgia . At 200 feet tall and traveling 70 mph, this might just be bait for prospective suitors.

If PKS doesn't get bought out, why take advantage of the situation and go short?

DIS might make a good short canidate in the near future.

      Webs,
I agree, for a company that gets millions of dollars of free publicity (DIS) it just doesn't look too attractive. If only Walt could have stayed around for another 30 years things might have turned out differently. Another knock on these guys, their cartoons suck! What a comedown from the good old days.

        You can do it

        BillyJoe & Webs,
You all know just how to make money on any stock (except OFG and BEL). But these two stocks do not excite me. My style of investing requires that I go with the hot hand. Let us know how you play them; I might learn something.

          I just checked the charts.

I wouldn't touch DIS right now, either way.

I'll take back what I said about going short on PKS. I would rather look for a long opportunity. I'll be watching it with you Billyjoe.

            Disney

Hey, Look at DISNEY's chart. You have two identical sections side by side,
except one section is about $2 lower that the second section. But it gives you a strong hint about how to play Disney. If she bounces off the double bottom mark, buy her for a $2 ride up. If not, sell her for a $2 ride down. Looks simple, doesn't it?

                Newborn, you're a Genius!

Nice chart on DIS. Heck, I may play it if I get some cash rounded up.

You sure its the ride? The way you talk about guzzling beer, I thought maybe that might be the real problem.

Yes, Boys, it's official. V is one ugly chart.

I can fly on any type of aircraft, but put me on a roller coaster and I'll puke every time.

I would hardly call a case of beer a day "guzzling"

                              Compare COT

                              Webs:
Here is a similar chart for comparison:COT. COT was in the same situation as DIS a few months ago. You see how COT with the very same formation climbed out of the hole. I think DIS will follow the same pattern. The 2nd Double bottom SHOULD be decisive. You'll know if she moves upwards on Tuesday.
