BMHC was hovering around 76.00 as the hurricane hit the Gulf States. It rose approximately 30% to 99.00 shortly afterward and has since slid approximately 10% in the area of 89.00. What do Mr.Market's members think is an appropriate market response to this tragedy?
Tonight the president will announce the government's intent to rebuild New Orleans and neighboring Mississippi. How can this not have a positive effect on BMHC? It is a fact, like it or not.

      bmhc

Billy Joe I was late to sell my position on bmhc and am still holding and will sell at 94 (if it hits it), what is concerning is shortage of materials, if it occurs as Cramer predicts, this will have some effect on earnings. They cannot sell without the product. -As for the tragedy -what is going on here in Austin is an eye opener. The soc-eco group was so dependent on the government, it is very sad; they will never return to NO, we have had fights, rapes, and muggings of volunteers, and 30 new sex offenders that are now being housed by the city. Austin convention center has had to cancel all events at a major expense to the city( hotel spending etc), looks like the tax payers will have to foot the bill, Wednesday night asleep@ wheel, jerry Jeff will have a benefit for the "other than organizations" that have felt the hurt of funding going to the victims. The trickle down of this disaster will effect everyone in the country eventually.-

        Channel short today?

        Spike,
Do we have a channel short today on BMHC? It is an expanding channel to be sure, and I don't understand if the expansion means no short, or what.

By the way, thank you for the neckline instruction over on HOV. I didn't see it until this morning, and I have corrected my necklines. Thank YOU!

Yes, it's a channel short alright. But it isn't expanding yet. Expanding is where both end of the channel bump out. As it is now, it's only moving the tip that is tagged today. The top hasn't expanded yet. You'll know it's expanding because the channel will suddenly widen, moving the support and resistance areas is one quick move as you drag the channel to the tag or bust. So as it stands, it's a valid channel short signal with no 'caution' that an expanding channel signals. It's OK to expand, it just means caution with it and that one should seriously consider targeting shorter than one would normally.

Today with BMHC intraday there is a confirming pattern to validate the channel short. I see a large 5 min SHS with neckline right on R2 92.40 that targets 89.80. There isn't a good one at the top that I like. But looking on the weekly chart dude, it sure looks like it's completed the 5th now. No way I'd be holding long now. It is what it is until it isn't right?!

          You're welcome re HOV.

              Thanks, Spike

I think the party is over. She just dumped $1 in about 5 seconds.
