LOL, Lye - stick to FA! Hehe j/k

The chart is wide and loose like the other one, gapping up one week, gapping down and reversing the next... You don't want to be in this stock unless you're daytrading it...

Ok here we go. Before I get into the charts I posted as possible buys I’d like to introduce the “tops down approach”. What does this mean? Well simply for this thread I’ll use the S&P500 as my tops down approach.

The chart is backed out to when I posted the possible buys. Now lets look closely at the chart. First off we had a nice pull back in Aug. (See chart A) followed by a nice tweezer bottom. This told us a possible reversal was coming, but we waited until confirmation of trend change. A few days after bottom notice the awesome volume spike. This is what I was looking for to go Swing long.

We move up nicley to point (B) and a warning flag was triggered. We could not hold the gains or take out (A) highs. Smart money flipped and went short with stop just above (A) highs.

We pull back off (B) highs and pay close attention to ©) This looks ominous to me. We got several up days with almost zero movement of the market. This waved a huge caution signal on going long the market.

Note that right now (B) could not take out (A) and the price is not far from (B) so why would you go long at this juncture? IMHO I saw zero reason to take the market long on 10/03/05.

Remember we are not talking about day trading but Swing trading..

FLS- this stock had earned -5.51% since posting.

ARRS- this stock has earned +.76%

ZEUS- this stock has earned -4.29%

You can look up these three tickers and see what chart you thought was a buy. Of the 3 stocks the one that faired the best was the one nobody was interested in..

Here is you homework look over the S&P-500 and post what we need to be doing off the chart. Should we look for long, shorts, or just stand by and wait and see. Oh I should tell you there is no wrong answer..

Runner, this week was not the week to be long, LOL.

I did trade NGAS today though, made some change on it. I still have 1/2 my position and we'll see if it goes further on Monday.

I left NGAS and NGS alone today. I missed the open but yea they would have both been awesome Day Trades!!! NGAS is a wild one so be careful!!

Yea I missed NGS! I know it is quite volatile that is why I sold off 1/2 at the close. I think we are still in bounce mode for atleast Monday so it should be ok. I got stopped out in the morning on the qqqq's for breakeven and then they rallied back - go figure.

The falling wedge is bullish. One is supposed to buy the breakout.

Stock recently had some downward pressure and many got stopped out. Looks like good entry was off the MSL at the trend line bounce. If I owned it from the bounce I’d hold. I would have been very cautious as it hit the upper channel, but it did pop so bullish for now. It does have a little overhead to fight through and so volume needs to pick up.

If Once in a position and the market starts cracking I’ll manage stocks I’m holding a little more and will dump with the first signal of weakness!!
