Well IBD put out an article about what SNDK's "significant announcement involving the mobile entertainment industry" is scheduled for tomm. I don't know what to think of it.
While the idea for mass storage on a little card sounds great, I am afraid that a move to compete with Apple instead of teaming up with them at this juncture may have been a mistake. Apple has so much going for them with the ipod and a move to supply the ipod with their new Trustedflash cards would have been huge. Hopefully they can cash in on all other Apple competitors by supplying them with this card, they will be announcing deals to supply Samsung, Emi and Yahoo with their new technology.
Can Sndk overcome Apple's "cool" factor, and make some fat cash? And with news about their strategy for next year, SanDisk plans to roll out cards for storing movies, making credit card payments and accessing mass transit. Well this has been talked about for long enough can someone finally make it happen? Time will tell.
