I could give the FTC regulators something more interesting to look into than whether or not HOLX is trying to control the mammography market. We've got to keep those boys busy or it would seem like they're not needed.

I noticed in Barron's , this weeks edition, that 6 insiders had unloaded 337,000 shares...perhaps that was part of the slight downdraft in HOLX?

Look at the charts of some of the stocks which have had 200%+ price increases over the last few years. Now look at the roster of insider sales. Almost all of these stocks have had insiders selling shares.

Now look at when these insiders have sold, and look what has happened to the stock price long after they sold. In almost every case, the insiders sell and the stock continues to climb.

My conclusion is that these guys sell because they need cash or are diversifying their portfolio. Insider selling IS NOT A BEARISH SIGNAL!

I agree completely. It is foolish to have a portfolio concentrated in one company's stock ... especially if you work for the company. That's a recipe for disaster.

I was off by a day. Thought it would hit yesterday but it did not hit until today.
Sold my HOLX at 39.50 for a 15.5% gain.
I add my thanks to $$MM for another in a series of excellent picks.
