I was looking at the different bars an it's hard to comprehend anyone who is actively trading, not long term investing, that is actually up 100% or more. The over 150% bar is longer than the 100% bar an a couple of the other higher % bars. I would like to see who is up that much because to me that would be a phenomenal track record. Step up and be acknowledged please.

I believe that would be IIC with his daytrading account.

Is Doug up 150% or more in his daytrading account? I haven't seen him posting much lately on the daytrades. Phenomenal record.

I can't post every day trade...well, guess I could but...True, my DT's have greatly dropped off due to time since September...DT's were +198% this year and I did not use my margin...My other accounts were up 28%...Since I don't put nearly as many $$$ up on DT's...And WITS dragged us down because I made less than 20% on it...My overall was only +36%.

Next year my goal is much higher...I will bail on WITS and I will focus my $$$ WHERE the $$$ are...Doug(IIC)

Ski...to clarify a little more...I have no illusions that I would do nearly as well Daytrading with my whole portfolio...otherwise I'd quit my job tomorrow and DT full time. There is no way I could have gotten some of the sell prices I got trading some thinly traded stocks with a large amount of money...as it is it was not unusual for me to get 3 different prices on a market sell.

Also, my day trade dollar amounts invested were all over the board. I was fortunate enough to hit some of the larger % gainers with larger $$$ invested...Maybe it was luck and maybe it was not???

On my longer term accounts the %'s can also be deceiving...For example I bot the old GMAI...now ESCL...back in 2004 for about $17. I sold this year for over $20...about an 18% gain. But, for 2005 if I take the price on 12/31/04 which was in the 12's I ended up with about a 65% gain on it this year. Two other examples of stocks I bot in 2004 and sold in 2005 for losses from my initial buy were RELV and LTON...But if I take my sell price minus the close on 12/31/04 I had gains on them in 2005.

It's true that I have not made nearly as many trades since September...But I did back up the truck on SIFY as posted on 12/19 and I made 17% on APFC on 12/20. It doesn't take very many of those to get your percentage up.

I had a discussion with another moderator of a club I belong to back in Novemeber. Their opinion was that there really was no use in posting my day trades in a Forum setting...More suited to chat rooms. The reason being is that it would be rare that people would actually see the post in real time and I could already be out before most even saw it. So it really is no help to post them unless someone wanted to go back and look at a chart to try and figure out why I bot it. And the chart might not even be the reason I bot it...maybe it was news. And I really don't have the time to explain the reasons for 500 trades.

In 2006 I plan to do much better...Happy New Year, Doug(IIC)

I'm sure Spike is too shy to have posted his gain in this poll. He's kind of secretive sometimes. lol

I'm going to guess and say he had a gain of 2,500%. How about it Spike? Is my guess accurate?

Ok guys, we've only had 28 brave members post their returns for 2005 in this poll. Remember, this is totally anonymous. Nobody will know if you actually lost money or if your a financial genius.

So far, the average Mr Market member had an impressive return. a few took a loss, but I'm sure if they hang around that will change.

                    Post your results today!

                        29.5%. Didn't quite make 30% - DOH!! I had a downright lousy December.

But, I think my active trading is over with. Just takes too much time for me. I'm going to a buy-and-hold diversified strategy much like the $$$HUGE ONE$$$ employs.

But, I'll be in every now and then. Here's to the $$$HUGE SUCCESS$$$ of this forum!

That's one thing I like about both Poormans and Mr Market. You can trade like them, and still have time to get wasted on Saturday night.
