Close on 1/13/2006

Well, only 2 weeks into the year and we've already got some HIGH FLYERS...Spike is up an amazing 24.23% followed closely by J, Mimo and Mickey...all up 20%+. So far our A/D is 19/7...with an overall average gain of 5.83%...vis-a-vis the SP 500 +3.15, DJIA +2.26, DJ Comp. +1.21, AMEX Comp. +3.21, Naz comp. +5.07 and RUT +5.23...Heck...we even beat the CSSGX +5.64% vs. the close on 1/3...And if you excluded our worst stockpicker...Who's That???...We would be up an average of 6.60%.

BTW...on the indices I used the close on 12/30 rather than the open on 1/3...I was too lazy to look it up. But I used the close on 1/3 for the CSSGX since they are entered in Billy's Celebrity Section of the contest....Interesting to note that you can pay IBD $1500 a year or more...or you could have just bot all our pix and made more...And our pix are FREE!!!

The moral of THAT story is.... Sometimes you gotta go with your instinct.... and don't be too easily influenced by others opinions.

BUT.... This is a year long contest.... So while TRLG might be HUUUUGE this year.... Where will the price be by year end?.... December's a long way away.

Doug, how did you pick your POTY stock? I had noticed today that it had recently gained to just below near-term resistance, then it failed and now you have a big drop. Why didn't you hold your long call until after it surpasses its most recent resistance level (early Nov 2005, at about 6.50/sh)? (Then there's more resistance just above 7/sh.)

I based it mostly on EPS projections and what the company had to say...Obviously somebody screwed up...Doug
