After careful consideration, I have made my pick for 2006...

      It's hip...

      It's cool...

      It's wild...

It's True Religion! Brand jeans that is...

      Ticker symbol - TRLG

The young, hip hop crowd will be beating the door down for this companies unattractive and rediculous line of clothing.

You may be thinking to yourself, "What's so attractive about this company? What would make this friggin Vulcan think the share price will go up in 2006? What planet is he from? I need another another beer!".

Well, my human friends... Read for yourself and you may just get religion.

      Who they are…
True Religion Brand Jeans was established in December of 2002 to take denim in a refreshing new direction. The Los Angeles based premium denim company has become known for its intense attention to detail: from the fashion-forward seams, to the remarkable embroidery and innovative hand-sanded vintage washes, True Religion Brand Jeans has distinguished itself as a leader in the high-end denim market for men, women and kids. The line also includes a myriad of colored corduroy pants, skirts, shirts, shorts, jackets, blazers, hoodies, T-shirts and everything in between.
Husband and wife designers, Jeffrey and Kym Lubell have combined his love of classic rock and her love of hip-hop and R&B to produce a trendsetting line made to exceed consumers’ expectations of denim apparel. Magazines including Elle, Bazaar, InStyle, NY Times, Los Angeles Magazine, Lucky, GQ, Razor, DNR, Rolling Stones, Men’s Health, Vogue, Intl’ Publications, Teen People, Teen Vogue, Star, People, InTouch, Life & Style, and US Weekly have recently featured True Religion Brand Jeans apparel.

The line will also be featured in upcoming movies including “Cake” w/ Heather Graham, “The Fog” w/ Selma Blair (opening scene), “Domino” w/ Keira Knightley, and “Dukes of Hazzard” w/Jessica Simpson.

In addition, the brand has amassed an impressive list of celebrity enthusiasts including Kate Beckinsale, David Beckham, Sarah Chalke, Courteney Cox, Gary Dourdon, Faith Evans, Tom Ford, Jennifer Garner, Heather Graham, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie, Donna Karan, Heidi Klum, Nick Lachey, Jennifer Lopez, Freddie Ljungberg, Madonna, Chad Michael Murray, Gwyneth Paltrow, Brooke Shields, Jessica Simpson, Jada Pinkett Smith, Gwen Stefani, Mr Market, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Bruce Willis, the Wayans Bros., and the Cast of Desperate Housewives.
True Religion Brand Jeans can currently be found in the world’s finest retailers including,
      • United States: Barney’s New York, Fred Segal, Neiman Marcus, Ron Herman, Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Atrium, H. Lorenzo, Kitson, Intermix and Jeffries NY
      • United Kingdom: Harrod’s, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, and Vertice
      • France: L'eclaireur, Printemps, Bonmarché and Galeries Lafayette - Paris; Martine Chambon - St tropez.

Webs...Are you looking in IBD for your pix? http://trimurl.com/3JU

I'll eat a bug if TRLG wins...I've been trashing that thing for 3 weeks.

Here is a copy of part of a post I made at another Forum on 12/19/05:

C'mon...remember Jordache, Chemin De Fer, Gloria Vanderbilt, Calvins,Gitano...The list goes on and on...maybe jeans will be around for a long time...but True Religion at $400 a pop will not...No problem buying what is hot...but when it's not hot...then it is time to let go and untie the knot. Of course, they could always pull an LAGEAR...sell the name after all the accounting scandals...Open up Skechers...and scr*w over a whole new set of investors...But I'm not complaining...I made a killing on both of them.

For those so inclined...you can take a walk down memory lane
              http://www.inthe80s.com/clothes/a.shtml

The only question is which is going to burst first...The Housing Bubble or the Denim Bubble http://www.slate.com/id/2124237/fr/rss/

Of course I could be wrong???

For added interest could we add some celebrity picks (might make us look smarter) such as Cramer's ATI posted by Peter Hansen.
