I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. for hip replacements....nothing new but USA Today helping the story go mainstream....also, medicare will take a break from cramming cuts down hospitals throats, it's an election year you know.....ZMH and SYK will roll
MHK negative DMI doesn't touch 40 exactly....Use the relative level compared to other peaks over the last several years.....They all have led to rallies.
$45.35 breakout today.....this one has a long way to go
Extremely low volume, low ADX, and an overbought stochastic suggests the breakout is not sustainable. The last two times SYK rose above its 200DMA (January and March) it fell back below a few days later.
watching for a throw back to the neckline of the head and shoulders bottom pattern.....I will be buying on the test.
What are you talking about Jim?.... A "head and shoulders bottom pattern"?.... Are you looking at the intraday? What?.... A two day chart showing a left Shoulder yesterday?.... The head today.... And speculating where a neck line may form for a right shoulder?
Damn! it would be nice if you would post a chart with these comments dude.... It only takes a couple of minutes.
You just charted a H&S top, Lye, not a H&S bottom.
Yeah I know Dave.... That's why I'm questioning Jim.... I see MRK no where close to testing an inverted SHS bottom. I thought maybe he made a mistake in his terminology or something. What? Is he targeting $37?.... If so, why not say so?
But....the throw back I am looking for doesn't happen yet.....I'd be making a ton except for my Don Qixote immitation....I suspect many are fighting personal demons here. Tough tape.
when the negative DMI on the weekly chart was as such a high level in the past, but bull move was huge....Oct 1998 the move was 88% up....July 2002, the move was 57% up....
